An mB or a Betcoin chip is 0.001 BTC, currently about 60 cents. So mB 100/200 is the equivalent of $60/$120.

mB100 means 100 mili BitCoins. A miliBit is 1/1000th of a bitcoin. So yes, mB100-mB200 means 100-200 chips.

Using the current exchange rate that's approximately $58 / $116

I remember when betcoin started out it was primarily a sportsbook. I seem to remember them offering all sports but when I looked at sports while in poker only saw European football (soccer). Does betcoin sportsbook offer baseball and will it offer American football?

For the mtts how many does it take to get a tournament going without it being canceled (winning players included I know betonline only tourneys require only 2)? Didn't see min amount required anywhere but I have seen 5 people sitting for a 150 five dollar buyin and tournament doesn't go off.

I was hoping it was actually a decent game since it's all I've really seen running. Does this site get any mB1/2+ going ever?

I'm still pretty stoked to be able to play MTTs and cash out almost immediately though. Do you guys have any suggestions for an exchange to use? I saw Coinbase on the BetCoin site and opened up an account there, but not sure if it's the best. I have to verify my account so hopefully I'll be up and running soon.

You can find some ~$115NL running on the other btc site every once in a while, fast cash outs with no fees in a few hours is really amazing though. Just got to build the traffic.

I have seen a few HU matches going like that but otherwise not yet. Not enough volume. For cash games I think you'll find Seals with Clubs has a much bigger player base. For MTTs, betcoin wins hands down.

That's one of the best. It takes a few days to process (unless you have a Visa credit (not debit) card and get instant verification) but they're solid.

Guys - can we talk about the rake at Betcoin?

It's only 2.5%, which is awesome, but the cap is 10 chips at all stakes?

Seals is also 2.5%, but the cap is from .50 to 5, proportional to stakes.

Is this as bad as it seems? Or the 2.5% rake makes it still competitive to the 5% that most other sites seem to charge, even with the high cap?

Sorry for the incredible n00b question I'm about to ask, but having never dealt with bitcoins before and not having a wallet that I want to guard myself with offline storage and all, can I just use coinbase to buy bitcoins and transfer them over to betcoin to play with and vice versa? Just use coinbase as my wallet? Or will coinbase not allow transfers to betcoin?

It just means you have to trust Coinbase and keep your account safe. I personally trust that Coinbase isn't going to run off with my money but after BF I obviously don't trust anyone with more than is necessary.

So then you just have to make sure you use strong passwords and 2FA.

And Betcoin should generate a new address for you, so Coinbase won't have any way of knowing who the recipient is.

A paper wallet can be as simple as having a public and private key printed or written down on a piece of paper.

To be safe, you'd generate the public/private key offline, print it out, and then send bitcoin to the public address.

So then the only place that private key exists is on your piece of paper, which means that nobody else spend it without physically taking the paper.

It's something you'd use for longer term storage and safety.

Not a single cashgame running. Pokerscout shows 450 players on WPN. At this point to draw traffic they would best suited to have WPN cash games and let the word network itself. Offer a 600% deposit bonus, nobody will play it if they can't clear it.

Now offer WPN tables, mesh player pools, cut whatever deal is necessary. Suddenly you have a nice 200% bonus for new players, a player pool that can generate rake, and can spread the word that the software is decent, bitcoin cashouts are the nuts, etc.

Easy game (minus the effort they have to put into developing software/backbone to support a merge). That said, its half done with mergine SNGs.

I think for most casual players having to use a currency they know nothing about and then constantly checking to see what it's worth isn't very appealing. I'd assume all regs would switch over immediately though and learn about it just because the cash outs are so quick.

I knew very little about playing poker w/ BTC and BTC in general before signing up and their website did very little to explain to me pretty important things like how much the chips are worth etc. They seem to be doing a good job in a lot of area's and that is one that definitely needs addressed. (maybe it's there and I didn't look hard enough, but that's just as bad if it's hard to find)
