They just reversed themselves so fast they probably have whiplash. Maybe Santa left some coal in their stockings. Still, I'll believe it when I see it.

We apologize to you, because our research indicates that Betcoin.ag has not taken the very best care of you. Betcoin.ag is now committed to addressing your concerns in the most professional manner and immediately handling player concerns. We are very excited to be improving the overall culture. We believe that this is the right and just thing to do, as many of you entrusted in Betcoin.ag and continue to do so. You can verify that this is made by the actual Betcoin website, because if you hover over the Betcoin username hyperlink it will show "user/2" at the bottom left hand side of the screen. This way you can differentiate whether it is an official Betcoin account or a fake. A fake will have "user/(a much larger number)".

I'm happy about this. This seems like the right thing to do even if it isn't financially the best thing to do for them... Well actually it probably is, because reputation of a company is very very important for their bottom line.

Hopefully they follow through on this. Hopefully they also unban the accounts that spoke out against the wrongdoing. As in most situations like this the outcry gets the attention and the attention can get the solution. All anyone ever wanted was to get paid in a fair manner. If Betcoin does that then I would say that resolves most or all of the issues they have with players.

Re: Betcoin Poker > Closed Dec 25 2017

Huge, I bet they will do it like this though:
"You contributed 0.5btc to the BBJ total, at a time when BTC was $1000, so here's your $500"

etc, etc

Still, something is better than nothing.

I was shocked last night at the surprisingly reasonable conversation I had with "betcoin" (who claimed to be new, I think, and claimed his name was Brandon or Brendan. It's all in the chat history)

If they do pay out,
I don't think they will be converting to USD before payouts.

If they do pay out properly, I think a lot of players will be saying omfg tytytyty.

I also think it's going to be a hell of a lot more complicated than they may think to figure everything out. Doing it right should be the absolute priority though.

In other news, I'm sure the whole community would love to know your (Gamblor777) relationship with xiaoxiao/harryjr/thief etc. He stole a **** load of bitcoin - spill the beans dude. My theory is you guys are/were roomates/good friends, now you're both busto and working together to start fresh.

Gamblor777/Veganhippie/iamHIV was a true legend for high stakes Crypto gambling back in the day - for those that don't know.

(FTR, xiaoxiao owes me exactly 0. I was a grindabit signup, they handled things as professionally as one would hope. Basically they said "hey sorry, after this date [a few weeks or so in the future], we're going to stop paying you" While xiaoxiao made up bull**** excuses for months, then Betcoin promised to lock his account and pay his signups back from the seized funds, all while xiao simply continued to collect)
^^much of italics are speculation

Ya they are a BTC site they need to pay out in BTC or that doesn't really solve anything.

Re: Betcoin Poker > Closed Dec 25 2017

I believe they were lurking on various forums, including this one, and were getting scared.

That's the only explanation as to why they are "paying" the Bad Beat Jackpot. They definitely aren't doing it for customer goodwill, as they were both willing to rip people off in the past AND probably don't expect many former poker customers in the casino.

So it's very likely that they are either scared of legal retaliation (lawsuits, criminal complaints) or illegal retaliation (people tracking them down and harming them physically).

I'm guessing it's more fear of the legal retaliation, so they are trying to offer a "solution" which will calm people down.

Unfortunately, much like the phony $22 million "refunded" after the UB scandal, there will be no list of who is getting paid back, so the company can claim they've made a large refund and there will be no way to verify it.

Since this will be a refund to anyone who has contributed to the BBJ, no individual will get a large sum of money, and the few people posting on forums won't be able to add it up to anything significant.

Additionally, many of the accounts receiving these "refunds" are likely dormant because they went broke a long time ago, and that money will never be cashed out. That's also part of the trick.

If they really wanted to distribute it, they would hold a freeroll for anyone who ever contributed to the BBJ, or alternately, anyone who ever played real money on their site.

But they won't.

This is yet another trick, to where they will pay a small percentage of that 43 BTC jackpot and make it appear that they paid the whole thing.

LOL at the phrase "We apologize to you, because our research indicates that Betcoin.ag has not taken the very best care of you."

Anyway, the players should demand a full list of all accounts receiving the BBJ, make sure it adds up the 43 BTC, and they should also agree to notify all players by e-mail receiving any money, so they know to log into the site and access it. I doubt they will agree to this, but that's the only way to even somewhat get an idea if they're really paying it out beyond a small percentage.

Re: Betcoin Poker > Closed Dec 25 2017

Agree that there needs to be transparency or the same cast of characters are guilty of player funds theft and we are right back where they started.

For now I think until we are how they ultimately handle it we should give them the benefit of the doubt even though their previous track record doesn't really warrant it.

As to your point of course I think the initial thought process was to just steal it (I mean we know this they literally posted on their own site in plain English that they were going to keep it) followed up by people starting to take action against the perpetrators followed by the sudden reversal. That being said who cares why they are doing the right thing as long as they do. If they pay the entire bbj out in a fair and transparent manner I think most if not all of us will be willing to move on.

Re: Betcoin Poker > Closed Dec 25 2017

Have tons to say on the topic, limited time now though.

I think kilowatt is wrong about betcoins motivation though.

I think any legal action is the last thing on their mind.

They are planing on continuing to run a sorts book and casin which, if managed properly, could generate some serious cash flow.

Rep in the community is worth more than 34 btc.

Hadn't signed into betcoin in some time. Signed in and saw they are out of poker. Transferred my funds to main and initiated withdrawal. Received my funds within 24 hours.

PFA Interview

For anyone that wants to listen, I joined in and the Betcoin segment started a little after the 35 minute mark. (although Bigthangz was discussed prior to that )It's pretty entertaining though, and I recommend listening to the whole thing, but the show usually averages over 5 hours.

It doesn't seem like they are doing much other than buying time. At what point do we start a Skype group to start getting the information we have on the principals over to the authorities if they don't do anything? They are acting extremely casual about stealing $700,000.
