Player beware. I joined betcoin yesterday and have been playing for the past 2 days. I was communicating with another poker site which offers bitcoin as an option, and they recommended withdrawing your balance after each session. This sounded reasonable and after I finished my session with betcoin this afternoon, I requested a cashout. After 2 hours I have yet to receive my payout. I expected payout to occur in a few minutes. I contacted "live" online customer support and was simply told my payout will occur "soon".

Can you tell me if my expectation for payout within 2 hours is unreasonable?

I'm pretty disappointed with their Customer Support, which has been next to nonexistent. But, I'm comparing to support I've received in the past from PP and Stars. At any rate, I wanted others to know my experience.

Edited to add: I received my balance about 15 minutes after contacting customer support. I guess I'm concerned regarding payout delays. Do the people familiar with Bitcoin here recommend cashing out after every session or maintaining a balance?

Edited to add: When I requested cashout, my account balance went to $0 and my money was unaccounted for 2 hours.

in my experience, payouts can take 1-12 hours (usually 2-4). They send a "confirmation of withdrawal" email so be on the lookout once you initiate a withdrawal. I wouldn't cashout out every sessions, but I would leave maybe 2-3 (session) buyins on the site (you can always deposit quickly). I've made hundreds of deposits/withdrawals here and never run into an issue.

Betcoin cashouts have been really quick in my experience. Waiting two hours for a cashout is nothing, imo, especially on a poker site where your account play may need to be reviewed before your payout is approved.

Cashouts have usually taken 2-8 hours for me to receive. If you request a large cashout (1 btc or more, I think), you may have to wait 24+ hours.

My OS is Mac, so I can only interface with Betcoin via web browser. Anyone here able to play S&Gs via web browser? I've had no luck with Chrome or Safari.

Yes.

You can also play on 5dimes, Bookmaker.eu or ****** from NJ.

All accept Bitcoin deposit and withdraws, don't require any dox and they also have WPN Cash games, spin and gos, and less idiotic CS.

They are kinda set up weird though, make sports book account then transfer to separate poker client. (make separate poker PW, don't freak out when they make you give your sports PW to support.)

Edit: Weird. They censored Bet D S I

Wow, nice find - thanks for linking it!

So I guess we're going to have to be vigilant about watching for spammers now. Just so people are aware, we don't take kindly to campaigns like this on our forums, so I hope no one intends to bring it over here.

Just to clarify... Changing my avatar to a Betcoin logo then posting as how I normally do is hardly spamming. That's all the campaign is all about.

Thanks.

Just to clarify - changing your avatar to a Betcoin logo will get you an infraction. If you are truly posting as you usually do, that should be fine. If that's what you intended when you said you'd "help at 2+2 forums", great - but I'd be surprised if that's what you meant, since it hardly seems worth telling them about.

Wait... What? Why? I've seen people have logos of Stars, FTP or some other site around here from time to time... Don't we get the freedom to display or own chosen avatar?

It is. The guy running the campaign is strict about which accounts to accept. Posts should be of good quality in the forums at BCT. Spamming is disallowed. It's nothing but really that, a signature campaign + an option to change your avatar to their logo.

Very, very rarely, yes. And when I see logos for a poker site, I usually have a good look at the poster in question to make sure they aren't some kind of shill looking to advertise the site. So yes, they've been allowed from time to time, but not always.

Within certain bounds, yes. When a site starts paying people to display their avatar, that's pretty clearly out of those bounds.

Yes, I saw the posts saying it can't be spam, needs to be constructive, yada yada yada.

Here's the problem - a lot of people who go in for promotions like that have no real concept of where the line should be, or don't care. They start creating "content" that isn't needed and would never be posted if not for the promotion - that's why I'm not a big fan of promotions like this. But if people take part and are able to do so without polluting the forums with Betcoin propaganda, I won't have a problem with it.

Getting paid to post on our forums with a site avatar, on the other hand, is pretty obviously a problem. And if you can't see why, try to imagine what our forums would look like if a lot of sites did this.

And in case this thought occurs to anyone, this has nothing to do with whether Betcoin advertises with us or not. A number of years ago, one of our own advertisers ran a promotion like this, and we let them know that was a no-go and had them take it down.

You are either clueless or in denial about what's really going on in there.

Betcoin has done tons of shady stuff and never answers for it. Over-rake players for months, collect for jackpots that dont exist, underpay rakeback the list goes on and on. You would know all that if you gave a ****. (I sent you the links, you applied to get paid to promote them anyway)

The signature campaign is their way of maintaining a good reputation in the bitcoin community. For every critical post of Betcoin, there are 10 positive ones. They also reward members extra privately for defending them. So anyone who complains about them should be prepared to get attacked by a bunch of campaign members who dont know a thing about poker.

Here's an example of them doing it to me last year. I found out players were getting shorted big time on WPN MTT Rakeback, they ignored me for weeks and then tried to say they had a common policy like every other site that anyone who satellited in is not considered to have paid rake. : https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?to...57#msg12687857

When the the campaigners aren't defending betcoin, they are engaging in deep conversation in threads like these:
Topic: is gambling fix your life? or wreck your life? (Read 79378 times)
Topic: Is their any safe methods to gamble? (Read 74010 times)

Every post is the same length, posted by someone in paid sig campaign, and is a vague response to the topic.

Anyone else interested in playing at Betcoin read this first: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1322261.0 You have better options: 5dimes, Bookmaker.eu, ****** .

All accept Bitcoin deposit and withdraws, don't require any dox and they also have WPN Cash games, spin and gos (Betcoin doesn't)

I would like to just warn anyone playing Live Roulette on Betcoin.ag to stay away from it, this is what happened to me I bet on RED and then received some sort of error (I cannot remember what it said) but it was something like "Not all bet were accepted...", anyways I bet on RED and then receive this error then the ball lands on RED and I still lose my chips...

I made a ticket and said they would "Investigate" then said everything seem to went ok but it obviously didn't because I got screwed, I asked for some proof and now they are ignoring me... very suspicious!
