Use btcmarkets instead of Coinbase imo. Don't send to a wallet imo despite their advice because you just pay double fees. Just send straight from the exchange is what I did.

I was a complete Noob too a couple months ago, but its super easy to do. Google Coinbase and Blockchain for those sites. DO NOT send money from Coinbase to the poker site.. you must use Blockchain as a buffer.

OK much appreciated! And yeah I been reading articles and watching videos just a couple of questions, there only seems to be one coinbase.com so that's fine, but do I use Blockchain.com or Blockchain.com.au, and is there any difference re fees between the two for Australian based players, basically which one should I be using?

And regarding the different prices that different Bitcoin sellers sell their Bitcoins, I assume coinbase and blockchain cover that?

Yeah or you could send direct from coinbase, but fees are lower on BTCMarkets which is the best AUS exchange. Holding large amounts of BTC on exchanges generally is bad practice because previously an exchange was hacked and people lost their sht but honestly it really makes no difference for what you need.

I know this has nothing to do with poker, but it maybe a bad sign when it comes to deposit/withdrawal options regarding sites that are unlicensed in Aus.

Well, it has spread to the blackmarket poker sites in the last week or 2, Betonline.ag acr intertops, all of them have stopped accepting neteller and skrill

you'll either get 'merchant blocked geolocation' or declined.

So they credited me with some money. It still stinks and I still think I am owed more money. So let it be a lesson for any budding bitcoin transactioners that if u send x bitcoins you aren't guaranteed x bitcoins will arrive in your poker acct.

Fair enough. However I don't have much faith in the whole process now.

Plus there is no record of what happens or at least anyway I know of. It seems to me bitcoin is no better than banks. just a different person taking your money. at least banks have some accountability.

What are these Chinese/Bitcoin sites you're talking about?

The Chinese/Bitcoin sites have been mentioned a bit lately but not much info to go by, betcoin doesn't have any cash game traffic if that's the site you're talking about?, besides some of the comments in the betcoin thread are just . So are you talking about betcoin or are there other Bitcoin sites offering games?
