Hi calvinyeo,
Thanks for posting on our thread.
You can find a detailed article on our website about the split of ipoker network
here and
here.
Our last article about this topic was written
early August. It is very useful if you are interested in the player pools:
A short summary about the situation:
iPoker decided to split its player pool into two tiers. Players of the tiers may not play agains each other (exceptions can be found in the above chart):
iPoker 1: This is where you can find rooms like Betfred and Mybet Poker. We would not say this is a bad pool to play at, but you will find a bit less tables here compared to the other pool.
iPoker 2: This is the premium or "good" pool of iPoker with rooms like betfair, bet365, paddy power etc. The traffic here is better and the field is a bit lighter.
iPoker 2 rooms with exclusive tables: more and more rooms introduce exclusive tables; the best example is probably Bet365, trying to lure players to these tables with special promotions. In the chart below, you can see the number of active 6-max tables on the different limits at Bet365, a premium room without exclusive tables (Coral Poker) and an iPoker 1 room (Betfred), late in the afternoon on a weekday.
If you would like to play on ipoker 2 network, my best suggestion right now is either
Paddypower or
Coral Poker. Both rooms offer monthly exclusive $5,000 races for our players and a big first deposit bonus ($2,000 at Paddypower and Ł1,200 at Coral).
With the first deposit bonus (25-30%), rake race (28% expected return rate) and the VIP shop (10-50%) you can easily get back ~90% of your rake.
