If I'm working on a deposit bonus, can I make a withdrawal?

I made a withdraw, then went and deposited that money and I was eligible for the bonus, ftw.

Also the deposit MAD888 is only a 1 time use, you can't use it more than once. Confirmed this over the phone and via chat.

Oh this made me chuckle, they are so out of in terms of time display or even time awareness lol, they went to extra trouble to code this in 2 different manners.

I try to keep my online $$ at a minimum so I have made a few withdrawals. After a bad run, I made a depo just a couple of days b4 the MAD888 bonus, so I made another depo to get the bonus. As I've had a good couple of days, I'd like to withdraw some but don't want to lose my bonus.

If the funds initially deposited by a player in order to generate or claim a bonus are withdrawn prior to wagering requirements having been satisfied, the bonus amount (and any winnings which may have been generated through the wagering of the bonus funds) will be forfeited.

technically, I wouldn't be withdrawing the bonus deposit, just some of what I already had in my account.

wow, over 1400 people so far for 8888 freeroll. even when there used to be a 10k freeroll, I think it went slowly from 500 to 600 to 800 to only maybe 900 or 1000 people.

does that indicate, even though there may be other factors too, that there are just a lot more people on the site now? what else could it be?

So I get knocked offline hu and all I get is a sorry?:

Hi, I was knocked offline due to the geolocation process and wasn't able to get back on for 5 mins(everything was good on my end and I even have a wifi dongle to pick up more and stronger signals). I was in two tourneys and one was hu which was over by the time I got back on. When I was logged off we were even in chips; what can be done about this? I potentially lost $50.The mtt # was 211499($250 g'ntd Omaha Hilo) My sign on is RustCohle.

Dear Alex,,

Thank you for contacting us. My name is Narisa and I will be assisting you today.

Alex, I am saddened to learn of the difficulties you have faced whilst attempting to play.

Having reviewed your account details, we can confirm you were disconnect during our $250 Guaranteed Omaha HiLo.

Please note that per New Jersey Gaming regulations, we’re required to periodically verify that you are within New Jersey when playing for real money at 888 .

Unfortunately we were unable to verify your location due to a weak or interrupted Wi-Fi signal at the time you were playing.

If any one of these Wi-Fi signals is too weak or interrupted, we are not able to accurately determine your location. A possible solution may be to try and improve your Wi-Fi-Signal by re-positioning your router or you may want to consider installing a Wi-Fi range extender to boost the Wi-Fi signals in your range.

Please also note that if you’re located less than a half a mile from the New Jersey state border, we might not be able to accurately determine your location and you might need to move further into New Jersey and try again.

We hope that the above suggestions resolve your issues and look forward to seeing you at our tables.

We sincerely apologize for any inconvenience caused and thank you for your patience and understanding in this matter.

Sincerely,

Narisa M.

They appear to assume that the money you are wagering is always from the bonus you received, so if you withdraw, you lose the bonus and any money you have won since receiving the bonus if you haven't completed the bonus conditions.

The implication is that you should probably withdraw all or most of your funds before accepting any bonus offer if there is any vague likelihood that you might need to withdraw during the bonus terms completion period.

I'd guess that the terms were written originally on the assumption that they were aimed at new customers to their casino products, but no one has since realised that existing poker customers, with existing bankrolls, would be affected detrimentally by them.

imo

first off you need to read and follow this thread here.

http://forumserver.twoplustwo.com/sh....php?t=1423329

next you need to tell them(not that it makes a difference yet) that no they are not allowed to kick people off the site, they are just not allowed to accept any wagers from people who fail Geo location check.

your wager was placed when you bought into the tournament and they accepted the wager. you didn't wager any more money after that.

see my previous posts for how to file the claim with Caesar's and then with njdge.

but you have to do something, just posting here complaining will not solve this blatant problem.(you're not complaining I'm just saying for future people.

If you win a $25 step 2 satellite to the $200 Big Sunday do you get a ticket that can be used any week you want, or do you automatically get entered into that Sunday's tournament?

In all fairness the wifi geolocation software is fairly new and a requirement of the regulators. I'm sure the sites would all prefer to never have to geolocate after you first log in, but that is not how the regs are written.

Not sure what any site can say other than sorry, they certainly aren't going to issue refunds every time the software can't locate someone. The technology is what it is and it is not 100% accurate.

And sorry but I am no lawyer but the semantic argument that you aren't technically "wagering" once in a tournament seems rather flimsy. If a person registers early for a tournament in NJ, then drives home to NY and logs back on to play the tournament, he is clearly gambling for real money outside NJ. That is the whole point of the constant location rechecks, to prevent that scenario. Blame the federal govt.

Yes, but you don't have to stand for this undue rig-ulation

Vote with your feet out of NJ poker imo

I mean is it really a terrible crime if people register in NJ and run across the border to PA? Do 100 kittens and 345 puppies die a horrible gruesome death?

I'm retiring after I bust out of Noverlay on Sunday. Please no huge presents...

You end up constantly typing into the chatbox of the newest table you have to act on.
I've actually typed my password to another poker site into the 888 chatbox not realizing it had stolen focus before.

There is an option to change it to focus on the bet box instead of chat but that's even worse. If you happen to hit enter you just raised.

The table should not steal your text cursor when its your turn at all. 888/wsop is the only software I know that does this. All others leave your cursor where it was and you can continue typing into whatever you were.

i dont have that prob exactly but close to it.

ill be typing in either the chat or the notes and BAM my cursor is in the betting box. whatever its called. where u can manually put in the amount u want to raise. when im taking notes/chatting it auto moves the cursor to that box when action gets to me.

more then couple times i hit enter while thinking im still in either chat or taking notes and hitting enter made me make a bet i didnt know i was making.

now i still take notes but i NEVER hit enter. and i chat even less than i already did just to avoid that issue.

thats been a problem since i first DL'd 888
