I try to open 888 at least once a day to see if the bots are still playing. I've missed a few days now but just opened to client and didn't see anyone from the list.

Has anyone seen the bots from the above list active lately, like in the past week?

I would suggest the following article by 888 suggests they accept its an inevitability and cant or wont make a concentrated effort to stop people breaking the rules . Whilst I applaud the efforts of those exposing these cheats , I cant help feeling unless people express their displeasure by simply not playing en masse , then it is all fruitless .

I've also seen EmptyWallett and peterx3 grinding away in the past 24 hours. I do so wish 888 would put their house in order but much kudos to Lessu for all his efforts on this.

I've got a fairly large database from playing at 888 with at least a couple of other players that I'm rather suspicious of. Not really sure whether I should be naming 'suspects' in a public forum though?

I usually give 888 3 ish weeks to act before outing the SNs by adding them to the list. If they ignore it, then the only thing you can do is out them publicly

Their stats are so laggy has anyone tried just calling all their bets heads up with decent bluff catchers? If they're bots they won't be able to adjust.

They have human controllers but do mostly what their program says. The ones with a controller with a brain might be adjusting to some opponents.

Lol what's probably happening is that 888 allows the bots to grind and make cash , and then they seize all the funds for themselves , as soon as they try and cashout, basically having them generate rake as well as 100% profit from account balance .

pure bots getting out of fashion man - thats the problem.
Hybrids coming up - like Lessu already pointed out -> Humans are logged in and sit with their asses on their chairs and do play, but most of the
deciscion-making-processes and acts will come from programms...

thats the new brutal danger!

I indeed use the term bot for any account where there isn't a human making all the decisions. I think it's fair to call a player, who has a program calculating decisions for him, to be called as a bot. But it is as important to acknowledge the difference between a bot that does everything and a "bot" where the player manually inputs the decisions calculated for him.

I chatted with VSmode several times asking how his bot is doing. His answers were between "I'm not a bot" and "Leave me alone". I didn't leave him alone but he was using the bot for his decisions and he is now banned.

Agree - one of the biggest difference is that they will be obviously even harder to recognize (for the investigation-teams of pokerclients)

emptywallett seems like a bot , he is winning player but the stuff he is doing is just ridiculous. There were complaints about him before. I'll continue gather data.

Maybe he is not a bot but he is just operator,(he answered in chat when other player said that he is a bot) i've heard that there is big group of players(bot software operators), which are just sitting behind pc and pushing buttons which some poker software is telling them. I've heard that occasionally to it tells them to do spazzy moves for conspiration or something like that.

Hi guys and gals. Just wanted to share my recent experience.

A few weeks ago I emailed 888 regarding a player I had a high level of confidence in as being a bot account - this was the first time I'd done this and it was not one of the names previously mentioned in this thread. Six days later I received a reply from the operations team at Cassava which was as expected - thank for your email, we have systems in place to detect this sort of thing, outcomes of any investigations won't be disclosed... etc. However, in the 10 days that have passed since I received that reply from 888, the player hasn't been seen once. Over the course of the previous several months the same player hadn't gone more than one day without playing, which is encouraging to say the least.

I realise it's too early to draw any conclusions from this - the account may just be suspended pending an investigation or the bot operator may have gone on holiday and all this is coincidental. Only time will tell of course. However, whilst I'm certainly no fanboy of 888 and have little faith in their ability to deal with the problem of bots from what has been seen so far, this first direct experience of mine has left me with a little bit of hope for the future. I know Lessu (great job btw) has done a lot of work on this and has been left feeling like he's just banging his head against a brick wall, but I wanted to share this to encourage others to keep pestering 888 and not give up on outing the scammers and cheaters that try to ruin the game we love.

      Good luck all.

      Thank you for the post.

Like in that list in the post above yours, there are a number of accounts that have stopped playing since we've started reporting the bots to 888 so yes, they are addressing the issue.

The progress has just been very slow even with this group that is very easily detectable and I've written long detailed emails to 888 regarding the accounts in that post but they just don't seem to get it.

Another issue is the bonus bots site that publicly supports 888 for years now which is an actual program people can buy (I think) that completely plays for you (unlike this russian group that most likely manually insert the decisions that are calculated for the player). It's just unacceptable how a site that is the 2nd biggest can let stuff like this happen.

I've seen light at the end of the tunnel a few times the past year but overall really disappointed in 888's handling of the whole thing.

      Thanks for the reply Lessu.

I realise it's pretty demoralising when 888 have had fairly concrete evidence handed to them regarding a number of accounts but seem unable to see the issue and/or act accordingly. For those of us who have yet to vote with our feet and move our bankrolls elsewhere, I wanted to at least remind others that there is still some merit in persevering and continuing to report suspicious accounts, despite their obvious failings on many of the other examples that have previously been sent their way.

I'm well aware of the bonus bots site and agree that it is both sickening and hard to comprehend how 888 can be so enthusiastically encouraged as a good site for botting in such a public arena. At the same time their forums actively discourage bot users from using Pokerstars due to the high likelihood of being caught. If I was part of the 888 security team I would find this downright embarrassing!

I'm not really seeing too much light at the end of the tunnel myself either but it is at least good to know that there are still some victories to be had against the cheaters.

Hey ConwayTwitty, I report about 8 bots(alledged) a month to 888 support. I am suspicious of all GTO type plays and ask 888 to audit these types and there is lots of them on 888. I think about 85% that I have reported just disappeared.
I think 888 suspends anyone's account to steal their money, LOL. I don't believe I can be right 85% of the time. But wouldn't be surprised.
I moved down in limits because of the bot traffic @NL20$+ and was surprised to see NL10 have just as much. They stick out like sore thumbs at NL10$.

Do me a favor guy and gals. When you are at a table with rec players and suspected bots, tell that rec player that he is playing with one and which one/s is/are suspect. We need to educate and protect our fish pool. If 888 don't care about the regs complaining, maybe the rec players complaining might be a boost.

What GTO software(botware) are these players using anyhow?? Pio solver? Poker snowie???
