There is an off-the-shelf bot that has been available for many years. It's not GTO. It requires the user to write a "profile", which is basically an instruction set, with code like "IF HAND = 72o FOLD PRE" (and a lot more complicated stuff, obviously, to account for board texture and stacksizes and even HUD stats).
Profiles are bought/sold/traded on a fairly well known botting forum that can easily be found via google. The maker of the bot has rakeback deals with 888/WSOP, iPoker, WPN, Full Flush, and Bovada. In the forum for the bots, it is recommended not to try using it on Stars, because Stars can detect it. 888 either doesn't have the ability to detect the bot, or simply doesn't care.

P.S. The seller of this bot claims to have sold 25,000 copies of the software.

Most of my volume is at 20nl-50nl so I certainly know what you mean about the bot traffic at these stakes. I'm not at all surprised that you're finding the same thing at lower stakes though. I'm guessing that slightly softer games will allow some of the cheaper and less sophisticated 'off the shelf' bot profiles to be profitable, so it probably gets exponentially worse the lower you go. Hopefully though, the flip side of this is that those bots are all the more exploitable. Either way, it's still an all round shi**y situation.

With regards to outing bots to rec players at the table, I'm really in two minds as to the merits of this. Obviously 888 hearing the displeasure of their most valued net depositing customers would be a helpful kick up the ass for them. However, on the other hand, fish are an already increasingly endangered species who are probably more likely to quickly subscribe to the 'poker is rigged' argument and go blow their bankrolls on the blackjack tables instead - which annoyingly is an even better scenario for 888!

Bots should be outed and recs should be made aware, imho, at least until 888 shows any signs of caring...

Same opinion here and i´m still playing on 888poker ! I dont care if im losing in EV when a rec player is leaving the table because i told him about bots.

Thanks arty, I've been noticing some new players sit down and right away start 3b betting me a ton and wondered what in my stats tells their bot to 3b me with impunity. I didn't know for sure what info they were using to make adjustments vs different player types.
Confessions of a Botter was interesting read, well, i've read 7 pages of the 11 so far. Profiling is what I thought was going on here. They have been easy to play against, but this last year I have been struggling. They don't adjust to 4bets very well, this a tell that they are bots, 3bet high, fold to 4b high, 5b shove QQ+AK only.
I have notice some put in long hours, play 3-5hrs, take a break and come back 5 hrs later and play another 3-5hrs. I'm old and I play weird times and can't believe for one minute bots are stupid to play 24hrs. So they play, break, play, break to look human. One bot talks to me at certain time of the day only, trying to look human, well he is human, but he is using a bot. I have called him a bot continuously over the last 5 days, warning rec players and regs that m*******08 is a bot. For a while he laupghed at me and I told him just how bad he stood out and was clear he uses some sort of 3rd party software. I told him to shove his GTO profile out the window because he will never be better than a break even bot-reg. He laughed and said he wins 15.99bbs/100 at NL10$. I have 12k hands on this bot and he wins 3bbs/100 and all have been cooler hands.
Yesterday I told him I gonna prove he's a bot. When he 3bet me I 4 bet shoved 100%, he called me 3 times out 10. twice he had KK and once he had AK. While another reg who does adjust vs my 4bet range called my shove an actual GTO range 88+,AJ+. When I told my new bot friend to reprogram his bot, because it sucks and stands out, he typed, "leave me alone". I told him that it was obvious he is using botware he typed, "So what, it's my life". When loose reg left, nit wad bot-reg left all 6 tables. I have in fact told 888 5 times about this player, even told them he may be house bot as the coolers he is involved in is incedibly high.
I have no problem playing bots, they are mechanical and easy, but I do have problem when they attack our rec players. I've never been proactive about bots until now. I may go play at Stars again. at least they refund us when we are cheated. We know these sites know about bots, we know it is important to have traffic to show their investors and rake generated and all that business crapola. Stars, oh my WTF is this world doing when Stars is the most trusted site. They f****ed over their affiliates, don't think they think twice in f****ing us over in a heartbeat.

You are saying, if it's an 888 house bot, it can see villain hole cards & knows what community cards will be dealt?

Thought i would post here about experiences ive had recently at the 50cent sit and gos on 888 poker. Basically ive entered two tournaments with <5 players then suddenly 30 appear all with similar names. In the games they all start going All in until one of them has the majority of the chips before taking the rest of the players out.

This has happened to me twice, i emailed 888 support only to be told that 'bots dont exist' well i have experienced the fact that the game has been compromised for example i played one 35 man sit and go which got to the final table in 5 minutes because of this.

Has anyone else had a similar experience?- it seems that 888 simply ignore this issue and just tell me how secure the site is, when obviously its not

Yes, the site is overrun with bots, they don't care - bot makers openly advertise their support for 888.

Check this thread - your post might end up getting moved there anyway.

They also use house bots around the clock to keep the activity up. Why should they care ? Plenty of players anyway.

I reported a combined list of bots to 888 about a month ago. Thank you everyone who contributed!

If anyone is still playing on 888, can you please post and tell me if any of the suspected bots in the lists mentioned here or elsewhere are still active?

Are these bots in the ''ZOOM'' games as well or just tracked game? 888 doesn't allow ZOOM tracking, right?

Whats even more interesting is nearly a year ago 888 changed software n the bot forum went haywire. Unfortunately it affected players too but also stopped the bots working. Then after the rollback software wasnt implemented in new update. Bots survived. I imagine that it could be gotten round but really strange to see 888 back down from that update

I purposely annoy email support on a constant basis....every time I see AA get beat by QQ or other, I write in chat the word "rigged" lol.....since then my premiums are 44 buy-ins below EV... Coincidence??? LOL

just to make you aware that in past few weeks on 888 Poker site, on low lvl limit cash games, I saw a bunch of bots, playing for whooping 47hrs straight and those guys from 888 poker dont do anything to stop them.

I mentioned that few times, to their support, they didn't do anything.
Now am thinking, wtf, I will build few pc's and setup vpn and do same things, let those damn bots running on 888 Poker site day and night.

A few weeks ago I received a credit into my account of $86 from 888 in compensation for having been in games with "a player that we determined to be involved in suspicious gaming activities" - I only play cash games and am without doubt that 'suspicious gaming activities' is referring to bots. I haven't played on 888 since January of this year (got fed up with them not being able to deal with the obvious numerous bots in their low stakes cash games) and so was pleasantly surprised to get this after so long away.

Having read with interest about the recent 'mass banwave', I was wondering if any of you guys have noticed any significant improvements in the bot situation at 888 over recent weeks/months? I used to play mostly 20nl-50nl 6max and might return if the situation has improved. However, if things are no different I'll just take my 'free' money and leave them to it - I no longer have the stomach to give my business to sites which seem to make game integrity a low priority.

I dont think so , I suspect they collect evidence and then kick them out in a mass ban , then new bots will arrive and nothing will change until the next banwave.
