What would you guys think about a sitout protest on 888 in a few weeks?

Plan/goal would be to get a few dozen players to join at a certain time and then sitout at the max 6 tables of your standard games where you would write into the chat about 888 ignoring the bots, not disclosing whether they are allowing the bots to withdraw (if their accounts are closed) or if 888 is keeping the money. Some one-liners would be formed before the date.

At worst, we'd get the message out there to more 888 players. Hopefully 888 would come to their senses before the date and change the way they are addressing the situation at the moment.

I'd start a new thread where I'd state what has happened with this situation so far on 888 and other sites and then the plan about the future.

So i've been playing over a year on 888 and found some of these bots too.
I wrote a message to support of both 888's and Lotos Poker room (same poker network) in both russian and english on 7th of October with detailed information, screenshots with same stats and etc.
You all know how to identify them and we will skeep this part. But what i can say that they can be identified pretty easily since their game is just a golden sample of word "Copy".
I have received an answer in Russian on 11th and in english on 12th that the data was transfered to apropriate department...and that's all, all this accounts are still playing...there are tons of them... they literally pump out money from tables...imagine a picture like i saw - one weak player and 4 bots on 1 table same time...
Who knows, they might even swap card information (

Unfortunately for anyone else but for these bot account owners, 888's security department is beyond incompetent. We can only wish they hire someone who understands poker at some point.

We have next steps planned but it will take some time before we can implement them. In the meantime, spread the word in the forums about the problem and out the bots in the 888 table chats.

since i decided to show evidence in Russian community, doing so here, part of what i wrote to support:

So all players have next stats VPIP ~23 PFR ~20 3Bet~10 4b~17 and Aggression~45 and WTSD ~23\WONatSD~48 and Won when saw flop 50, there are no more players that have at least vpip + pfr + 3b and same agression (which is very high for this limits and are not typical at all) and many postflop stats (like fold BB~80\SB~70\BBvsSB~55 vs steal percentage , continuation bets and etc) which i will also show(not all but enough, i guess you can check everything yourself). And again they play indiferrently to other players like they have no enemies\foes, they react to all players equally and not having any regwars. (which is rarely happens to real players)

You are doing a good job but here is one example how we are just wasting our time.

Well, one russian pro player advised me to gather more regs and make a collective letter with more stats and evidence as the next step since it has more "stopping power" and i guess gambling comissions are a good start also, if we attach a copy of collective letter to whatever thing regulate 888 work - would be great too.

As it h appened I was a reg in those games and "knew" like all the bots and had quite a sample on them and already suspected something. After this initial thread nearly all of those bots disapperead.

After a few days more of those players with those stats joined. Since I played a lot at this time, I was quickly able to gather hands on them. I reported them in silence and tehy were gone afterwards again. It seems like nothing really has changed at 888.

Also as a note, I was not compensated anything even tough I lost quite a bit to those bots. There also was no official response, they were simply gone from one day to another.

I think they handle the bot problem in a horrible way and not getting anything from this back made me quit this site.

If your so upset about this play at Pokerstars instead, no bots there.

I think sites like 888 and WPN profit from bots so they just keep it going.

I don't play much on stars at the moment but if you want to see this bot in action on stars, one account I remember is got_nuts999. And I'm sure there are many more.

LOL @ 888 compensating any of the victims. You're talking about a site that steals 10% of people's balance every month if they go inactive for 6 months. Those people are the worst kind of greedy incompetent scum.

I just wanted to give props to Lessu for the work he's doing. Keep fighting the good fight. I've not played on 888 for a while, but I'm not going to play on 888 again until they show a commitment to dealing with the problem.

Disappointing to see most of the bots outed in this thread still playing.

Just today I've seen AnimalFairy, VSmode and gazugazu.

On a side note what happened to PTR? Has it closed for good or is it just down for me?
