Yes, that was my point. You made it sound like you were on one of the other WPN skins and didn't see a reason to play from 5Dimes? I'm sleepy and confused.

WPN cash outs aren't very good, 5 Dimes are excellent.

IDK what method you're using for WPN cash outs but I get mine next day almost always with debit card... so not sure why you're saying WPN cash outs aren't very good.

That being said hope this network will get some traffic as well so we have more options in the US

My card expired and I'm not sending a shady South American poker site a copy of of social security card (which they make you now). You can withdraw as much as you want via BTC in like a day w/ 5Dimes. Even w/ the debit card from WPN, you still can only get $2,500 a week. Checks take a few weeks, and the WU/MG option is expensive and isn't for very much money.

Besides BTC, 5 Dimes has many other great withdraw options that take like a day and the checks are for like $7K at a time. So yes, 5 Dimes is MUCH better than WPN for cash outs. (not sayin WPN isn't decent)

am I missing something here? I just joined 5Dimes, and see I have 2 poker room options: 1) Shark Tank 2)Grand Poker

Shark Tank: seems to be on the WPN and has a much bigger player pool. and offers the 27% rakeback.

Grand Poker: is a standalone 5Dimes room, with little to no player pool (as of now since it just started), and offers poker point type rakeback worth possible 50% (as stated previously in this thread)

My question is, how will/does 5Dimes expect Grand Poker to develop a player pool when Shark Tank already has it covered? I understand Grand Poker seems to offer high rakeback, but if there aren't players playing... do they plan on getting rid of Shark Tank? any info is appreciated.

I was asked for my password also.

I thought it was strange and I declined to give it and gave my account number and name instead.

Re: asking for passwords.

I'm amazed right now. I had a question for support today on 5D and hopped on the live chat. The way they verify your identity is by asking you for your username and password.

When I laughed and said it's ridiculous to ask players to give you their passwords in order to verify their identity he replied with "sir the idea of the password is to verify your identity, we know it already but will ask for it on every contact for obvious security reasons".

I then asked him to clarify that he was telling me they store passwords to accounts unencrypted and available to any support employee and he responded "Yes, sir we are very secure".

This policy goes against practically every basic internet security standard that exists. Not only is there a liability of having employees be able to access customer funds whenever they choose, but in addition if passwords are stored unencrypted a server compromise would mean access to every player account on the site. And that's before talking about how much easier it makes account phishing. If your clientele are used to giving out their password to any employee that asks for verification, they are way more susceptible to giving it to someone by email or fake live chat, or clicking links in a phishing email and entering it in there.

Overall, I find it extremely concerning and embarrassing for an operator of their size. Is this the level of security we've come to accept from online gaming operators holding real funds?

Yeah, this was always in the back of mind when playing. The money on there is sketch, probably more sketchy if you're a "winner." One advantage to having been the loser is I doubt anyone will come after me in the future.

Done with Betonline, WPN, and Merge sites. Even when I won I felt worried about the funds, like it was tainted. Gotta wait for online poker to become completely and regulated before I put cash on again. Itll probably be a while though, and when it happens ill have saved money for once, nice.

The password thing is a bit absurd, I agree. I just put cash on as need be via BTC and withdraw via BTC anytime I have a decent amount. No way I'd ever leave a large sum on a site that has procedures like that.

If you classify the quality of a poker software client by the looks of the cards, then you shouldn't wonder why people tend to disagree.
