Hi,

So I have a big issue with Skrill and they are basically ghosting me.
To do a long story short:

TCOOP on PokerStars sometime during April - I stake a friend on Pstars for the 215 PLO. He gets like 10th and cashes for aprox 2.5-3k USD.

His stars account is very little in use, so he is not allowed by stars to send the full amount back to me. I ask him to just try a withdrawal to my Skrill account. Its goes trough instantly and I receive the money.

Fast forward to 22.06.20
I deposit 180$ on Skrill, as I have a casino bonus on Stars. After depositing the money, I can't use it from my Skrill account. Weird, but I'm assuming its a bug. The 23 I file a support ticket, since I have not been able to use it for over 24 hours.

In this ticket, I'm told my account is restricted for 28 days due to "sharing credentials"
While I strongly assume its related to when my friend did a withdrawal, I seriously doubt that Skrill can just assume I shared credentials. First, I didn't share my password, only my email. And secondly, Skrill have no information if the said account is mine or not. I could baiscly just have been multi accounting on stars, there's still no way for Skrill to say I did something wrong. But always, its not a big deal.

I ask Skrill to refund the 180$ I deposited while the account were restricted.
This they would not do. I find this very annoying, as they let me deposit while restricted, but not use or withdrawal, basically holding my money hostage for 28 days.

I file tickets, they close it. Etc. Finally I call them, they escalate my ticket. And after the escalation, no answer. For 24 days.

2-3 days ago my 28 days were over. So I tried to withdrawal, but no. Same error. I call support, they transfer me, they say my account is restricted, but they don't know why and can't tell when its good again.
Getting transferred again, being promised I would get an email during the next 24 hours - and its now been 30 hours and no email.

Honestly im blaffergasted. I have "VIP" status with Skrill, I have done over 200k USD in transfers in 2020 alone, and probably several millions lifetime - and they just ghost me and hold my money (albeit a small amount, but still)

After not receiving an email, I again tried to file a support ticket - and they instantly closed it, with no reply.

Open for all advice and suggestions.

Wow, that is terrible. I also do a ton with Skrill and far prefer it over PayPal. Their support is better, which is not saying much, too.

If they continue, maybe try contacting PaySafe corporate and ask them to get involved. They are the parent company.

Thanks. Will try this. Its just so weird. I have had anywhere from 10 USD to 40k USD on the Skrill account at any given time, but they close it when its 180 USD for no good reason.

Good luck. I keep 5K or more on it and this is not overly good to read.

I'd definitely go the corporate route since regular CS is not responding, but make sure you are very courteous and professional. You will get lightyears farther being contrite and concerned versus ranting and threatening messages.

I thought you were only able to withdraw to your own account so how did your friend manage to withdraw to your skrill account? He doesn't have a skrill account or any other account to withdraw? Not saying you have done anything wrong just seems weird to me asking to withdraw your skrill.

Tbh they have a reason fomr skrills pov : "sharing credentials". You are not allowed to let anyone else use your account and they think you have.

It's his Skrill account being restricted, not his Stars account.

Well, tbh im amazed PokerStars let him withdrawal to my Skrill. My friend is a 100% rec and I am pretty sure he has never done a withdrawal from PokerStars, and at least not after the Amaya merger. And obv in hindsight I agree with you. But, if anything, its against Stars TOS and not Skrills.

When I for instance play on a random European site for casino games and use Skrill, there is, as far as I know, no flow of information from the site that validates that I am the owner of said account on said casino site.

But then again, getting the 28 days restriction is not my main issue here. I understand that I did "something" wrong. But the ghosting and denial of withdrawal after restricting my account is what im concerned about.

So just a quick update.

After aprox 35 days from the initial block, my withdrawl went trough. (i had tried once pr day) Still didnt recevie any messages and there was visual change on my profile, no emails etc. Just pure chance that i was trying once a day.

5 days after this, i got a reply on my ticket, which now was going on its 27th day without answer, even though im a "VIP" with skrill. lol.

Basicly, they said:
Hello xxxxx

Thank you for contacting the Skrill VIP Team.

We can confirm that your last transaction was successful and confirm the restriction should now be lifted.

Please be reminded that sharing credentials and/or operating multiple accounts is not in line with the Skrill Terms of Use.

So no apology for taking 27 days to answer a ticket, no further explanation on why they revoked my account for 28 days, nothing.

So now Skrill lost me as a customer for ever and im still not sure why.
Just a heads up for all of you, take care.

And again, im very sceptical about all of this.
The only thing i can even imagine set off the alarms with Skrill is that i transfered money to Skrill from 2 different pokerstars account.

But i still dont really see how that is breaking their TOS and im also sceptical about how they even realized, unless there has been any communication between Skrill and Pokerstars.

Okay, another update.
Pretty sure im getting trolled or have been placed on some type of list for whatever reason.

So, I get an email from Skrill on Monday, saying I have a transaction that I have been credited money from, that have been rejected by the bank. This is very weird, as im from Scandinavia, and we use a system called "rapid transfer" which basically gives them direct access to my bank. I can even see my balance trough Skrill when depositing.

So they state its been rejected, my account has been set to minus and I need to pay them.

I file a ticket, saying this is not true. The money is not in my bank account, the transaction is still there in my bank etc.

Then they tell me I need to prove this.
Even though they have provided zero proof about this "rejected payment"

What a load of ****.
I upload screenshots, 2 days go by, and I get a "we have received and processed your payment" update on my ticket, even tough I have not done anything but send them screenshots.

What a load of bullshit.
What is happening at Skrill atm?
