5Dimes ends support for EPN - Opens independent room 'Grand Poker' - Page 2 - Internet Poker

does 5 Dimes really have a big enough player pool to start their own independent room? Don't really know much about them other than a solid sportsbook and the fact they accept BTC now

in 2 hours there's a 1.50+0.15$ tourney with 8$ added. Better than freerolls imho.

The software looks like minted with some tweakings. The easiest way to realize is that you have to open a browser to get more info in the tournament lobby.

If you want to deposit, you have to depo to your sportsbook ,then go to cashier in the pokerclient and transfer money from the sportsbook to your poker account.

Hopefully they can build some traffic, 5 dimes was a great option for people who wanted lighting cashouts while avoiding holding their roll in btc.

Anyone else having issues with setting up a table name at Grand Poker ? After I enter a table name, I get a pop up saying to contact support to verify email.
I contacted live chat but was told they are a new poker site and are having issues with players creating table names.

Curious to see if anyone else here is having the same issue. And if they found out a way to resolve the problem.

I haven't played on the new site yet as I've been on vacation and just found out about 5dimes no longer using Open Waters. I contacted Live Support and they said there will be no more point for cash (like the old PoP points). Said the new player points are only available to use for tourney buy ins and freerolls. Has anyone confirmed this yet? Kinda sucks for cash game players if we no longer get Rakeback.

No mtt action yet but people are getting their pokerpoints turned into 20 or 10$ prizes in the freeroll tab (like 3 player per 200 points, 20$ for first, 10$ for 2nd and 3rd)

So basically there is action. Just that I don't have any pokerpoints..

You can use your player points to buy into freerolls that run at various times throughout the day. The prizepools are set up as: 200 PP gets you into a freeroll that pays our $20 to first and $10 to every other place. The buyins vary but the buyin and first place prize/rest of payouts scale accordingly.

How much rake do we have to pay for 200 Points?

I mean if 200 Points = 200$ then it would still be 5% flat rakeback (888 starts with 2%)

I'm not playing cash there to get points to get into a freeroll, I'd rather just play some tournaments...

They are still with WPN it looks like? I was playing earlier today from 5Dimes. I checked out Grand and the software is pretty decent. I just finished up and there was only a few tables and like 28 players.

Now it isn't working and I'm asking support if the Sharktank will be discontinued as well and they seem to be clueless......

60%-100% rakeback.

They charge 4.5% rake,which is equal to 10% rakeback compared with 5% standard rake.

I mean nothing new here. The old fish pond room of 5d offered 50% rakeback, but basically averaged 0 games.

It sounds great on paper but you need games to get rakeback. It remains to be seen how they will attract a large influx of new players.

I don't really love the old minted software (bad memories) but it was def playable back in the days.

@mrdoz: with recent stars changes people try to multi-site more, that's what I'm doing at least.
