They are trying to show precedence by referring to the removal of the WCOOP ticket. Wouldn't the true precedence be the historically gradual changes?

Several of the posts show bigger changes were expected. The relatively small change (removing the WCOOP ticket) thus reinforced the pattern of gradual changes even when expectations are for something more significant.

The fact that a relatively small change met relatively little resistance does not make the whole thing okay.

I’d like to apologise to the players for my complete failure to be able to help in any way with the recent pokerstars VIP changes (1/2)

With @RealKidPoker eventually failing as well I no longer feel I can represent the company and I have now left Team Pro Online (2/2)

@Pokerstars Matthew:

Read this article from over a year ago, linked below. Do you think the comments about your communications are accurate?

I would love for him to offer his opinion on where Amaya will be 1 year from today.

I strongly believe there is no "business intelligence team", at least in the image that Lee Jones talks about. I have been part of extended meetings with Stars at both their IOM HQ and in Toronto. They have some great members of staff left over from the Scheinberg era who are very knowledgeable. Steve, Baard, Michael etc. We have had their most knowledgeable personnel at hand, but it wasn't sufficient without the input of several experienced players (Ike Haxton, Dani Stern, Gavin Cochrane, Will Davis, myself) to reach a suitable potential solution to the seat-script solution. The modelling of changes to the whole client would be a lot more difficult, I would wager. And without [current experienced] players' input they're going to fall short I fear.

And Lee Jones (like all Stars' spokespeople) have communicated plenty of false information in recent weeks. The hard part is finding anything trustworthy, to be honest.

So in summary, I believe there is:

*No bias on my part

*No efficient "business intelligence team" in the way Lee Jones is portraying

*No (or little) truth is anything that Stars is currently saying.
Great posts and good work. You seem to have some insight into what's going on at the HQ since you attended the player meetings. Maybe not perfect or definitely 100% accurate, and your personal opinion but certainly better than the average 2p2 user opinion or word of Stars reps. Appreciate your posts and effort!

So guys , ya'll don't like it.

Let's all boycott stars and play on another site. Seems about the best solution in order to force them to change it to the way it was?

Oh wait, nobody does that.

People always need something to complain about. That's just people.
All yelling about things not being right , and forget about it in a month if not sooner.

Dont forget this guys:
Complaining is broaching a problem without giving a solution.

http://forumserver.twoplustwo.com/28...anuary-1576472 seems to deal with this weirdness some folks have been experiencing recently.

Cliffs: conversion is January 1st, but some are "seeing" the StarCoins a lot earlier. Even .COM is going to be visible December 17th.

Oh wait, that's today! :-\

Personally, I am looking at Decembe 31st approaching fast and wondering about my current almost-there $10 bonus. I have earned maybe 85% of it but it is likely that by December 31st I will not make it (because I am not a high volume player) so then my FPPs get converted to StarCoins ... okay I get that, but I worry will there NOT be an equivalent cash bonus available to me in the new year? #ClearAsMud

If not, I guess I might have to jump in to stakes 1 or 2 levels higher and short-stack them in order to earn more FPPs. It's not like I will be risking my stack very often anyway, since [grumble]even at the lowest stakes there's rarely a huge-bb pot ever since so many nits are terrified to get their stacks in the middle without the nuts. #StarsRockGardenFTL [/grumble]

I feel your pain. As a multiple time SNE, I remember having to grind all hours during December in order not to miss out on an additional $45,000 of value. Albeit you will only lose about $2 in value if you're forced to convert to Star Coins but it sounds like the pressure and stress is about the same.

Hello guys, help me out here.
I have some FPP and I wonder, after 2016 is my FPP in same value $?
Or should I spend my FPP before 2016 to get more value $?

Stars will be stealing ~25% of everyone's FPP value at midnight on Dec 31, so spend them before them. Then withdraw your balance and leave the site.

Well i thought that was fairly climactic and controversial, so either you and i have a different perspective of what an anti-climax is or you were being sarcastic and actually have faith that the new stars promotional changes are going to be very climactic. I'm opting to guess the latter since I think that makes more sense, as there are promises for some HUGE marketing changes next year and this has been made clear by every insider at Stars including Daniel Negreanu, Eric Hollreiser, Matthew Hilger, Lee Jones etc.. I just can't wait to see what they bring to the tables and just how they opt to inject new ingenuity and creativity to the client.

Also, talking of words beginning with the prefix "anti-", I dislike how you're continually anti-promoting Pokerstars, a site that remains the most popular, most competitive site in the poker industry even despite the recent changes they have made. I feel like this is just the beginning, the dawn of a new era of more exciting, more ingenious poker that will target and ultimately reach a wider audience and stretch this iconic game beyond what was thought of being possible or imaginable. I'm ready for 2016, bring it on Stars!

Approximately two percent of players are significantly impacted by these changes. These amounts are not large enough to cover debt and interest repayments for the PokerStars purchase. I bet Amaya currently has large negative cash flow.

Actually more like $16k:
  • SN x3 = 300k VPPs
  • Rake rate = 5.5 VPPs per $1 paid in rake
  • RB cap = 30%

So, (300000 / 5.5) * 0.3 = ~$16.4k

Am I missing something?
