The table of Steps/Starscoin seems to have been removed on the UK site, anyone have it saved? Was previously linked at the bottom of this page but the link is now dead (and replaced with a huge Spin & Go banner).

Here's the URL for the UK Steps table: www.pokerstars.uk/vip/steps/information/

Thanks for flagging the broken link, we'll get it fixed.

Dylan

There was a technical issue with the KO Poker tab which is why it's been temporarily removed. It should be back up soon.

With a minimum of $20 they are clearly trying to re-activate old accounts there.

We normally get the Mega Bonus with the bottom prize of Shootout ticket don't we?

All the KO tournaments and sit and go's are also just in their normal tabs, they aren't hiding.

I assume this is why stars are making a pretty pointless KO tab, because people struggle to filter and find games on the normal tabs...

Trust me, it's better for the eco-system. Bets on how long Amaya needs to turn Stars into a ghost-town?

What's the best way to withdraw without paying currency conversion fees? I deposited from my Australian bank account and would like to withdraw. Do I withdraw in USD or does PS automatically convert it to AUS for me? Is it better to have PS do the conversion for me or should I withdraw in USD? How do I look at the different options.

Also I'm not sure if this possible but I'm hoping to be able to withdraw into a different bank account that what I deposited. I have read that I need to withdraw into the account I deposited from until I have withdrawn up to the amount I intially deposited then I'll be allowed to use a different account. My situation is that I'm a Canadian citizen when has been living in Aus for the last 3 years. I joined PS 2 months ago using my AUS bank account but I'll be moving back to Canada in a couple of weeks and won't be using Australian dollars any more. Is there anyway to change it so I can withdraw into a Canadian Bank Account?

Any advice is appreciated

I believe the best way is to convert it into the currency you want to withdraw in inside poker stars.

It may have changed but when they introduced the currency conversion fee it was for withdrawals only.
So withdraw US$ into a Aus$ bank account = conversion fee.
Convert US$ into Aus$ in the client = no conversion fee

^ that is correct. Always convert the main currency into that of your bank account's before withdrawing to avoid a 2.5% theft fee. After withdrawal, you can reset the currency back to usd.

The last deposit method will be set as the new default withdrawal method. So i think just deposit the minimum from your new bank account, then you'll be able to withdraw on that one.

Thanks for the info. Once I'm in Canada I'll deposit a small amount and then we should be okay.

PS won't let me convert US to Aus dollars in the client.

This is guesswork on my part - I've no experience of converting to AUD currency, so sorry in advance if I'm wrong:

Suggestion: Have you made an AUD tab in your client? In my UK PS client I can click on "Cashier" & create a currency tab for USD, CAD, EUR or GBP using the "+" sign. Those are the only tabs I can create & I can therefore only convert funds between those four currencies. But, to work with a currency I must first create the tab.

Since I'm in the UK I can't create a AUD tab, but surely you can? If you are currently in Australia I would expect your PS client to have the facility to create a tab for AUD. Have you clicked on the "+" sign & done so? If you can make an AUD tab, then do so & click on it & convert to AUD from USD there.

Thank you so Aussies are being charged a 2.5% fee every time they deposit & withdraw? Same for NZ dollar too?

CORRECTION/ADDITION: I've answered my own question. I found this quote from October 2014 by Michael Josem [Head of Communications at PokerStars at that time] which indicates that only four currencies [USD, GBP, EUR & CAD] are supported within the PS client these days:
Quote:
PokerStars has made some changes to currency exchange rates and we thought we should provide a little context to the decision. PokerStars has historically applied the mid-market exchange rate from XE, and before that Reuters, for exchanging between USD and GBP, EUR, and CAD. That rate of exchange is simply not one you would have had from any financial institution or processor.

The policy change to introduce a margin on these currencies does move us more in line with the market, but we’re very confident that the new rate applied to your selected currency is still going to be extremely competitive. In fact, we’d say that it’s better than that offered by most banks, card issuers and payment providers.

The margin on these currencies, applied to the mid-market exchange rate provided by XE, will be applicable only at the point of deposit and withdrawal. There remains no fee to transfer between currency wallets in the PokerStars client, nor for joining or leaving poker tables in different currencies. We frequently review our policies across all parts of the business, which all go towards making PokerStars the safest and most secure poker site to play at, but we will post here again before any future currency exchange change goes live
I had assumed the currency tab options might change by region, but it is clear I was wrong - no AUD. Thus only deposits/withdrawals from/to bank accounts in the four currencies escape fees.

I don't believe we will see discounted tournament tickets in the store anytime soon. Generally speaking, StarsCoin have a fixed value of $0.01 for all redemption options.

Exceptions to this where you'll see discounted items are VIP Club: Live sporting event tickets and Live Event packages to flagship events.

Dylan

I was trying to win enogh points (now starcoins) to get some merchandising from the VIP shop. But comparing prices of some products there with prices in other online stores there is a big difference. VIP store items are much more expensive. What is the point about offering this expensive items?

How this works is just so shady by Stars too. Most fish will not realize they can avoid the currency conversion fee and will deposit directly in USD paying more.
