Regarding offerings of tickets:

2015
- offered MTT tickets
- required SilverStar+ status
- Minimum purchase of $11

2016
- offering MTT, SitnGo, and Spin&Go tickets
- offered to all statuses
- Minimum purchase of .25 for Spins, $1 for MTTs, and $1.50 for SitnGos

We are offering more players more options than before.

Regarding cash bonuses:

In 2015, it took ChromeStars 1000 VPPs to be able to purchase a $10 cash reward. In 2016, it takes a ChromeStar 1000 VPPs to purchase a $25 cash reward.

In 2015, it took a SilverStar 666 VPPs to purchase a $10 cash reward in the store. In 2016, it takes a SilverStar 800 VPPs to purchase a $25 cash reward in the store.

For BronzeStar only players, it is rare that a player playing 50 VPPs per month will save his points for 20 months to buy a cash bonus. If one did, in 2015 it took BronzeStars 1000 VPPs to be able to purchase a $10 cash reward in the store. In 2016, it takes them 1600 VPPs to be able to purchase a $25 cash reward.

Matthew this is the type of post that bothers a lot of people. You mention all the positives yet forget to mention the lack of stellar rewards which would greatly change the "real" numbers.

The last page of posts is about what is offered in the VIP store. In 2015 players who had balances below 700 could basically only exchange their FPPs in FPP satellites and now we have a much broader offering for players to use their points, but there wasn't one post here saying it is better to give players more options than before. From my perspective, this is a positive part of the changes for players but nobody mentions it.

Regarding the $10 versus $25 cash bonus discussion, my post is just intended to show that for ChromeStar+ players we aren't asking players to play more than before to get enough points for a cash bonus, which was inferred in recent posts.

The discussion on this last page isn't another summary of all the rewards changes - I think I've been pretty clear that total value for BronzeStar thru GoldStar is close to the same as before.

But yes, Stellar Rewards have been removed so sorry if my post is read by some to imply that rewards have increased. Total rewards are close to the same. Players now have more options to use their points in the store for microstakes MTTs, Spins, and SitnGos and there are no longer restrictions by status.

Sect does have a good point as there might be new people who haven't read this entire thread, so I'm adding a little clarity to below

Regarding cash bonuses:

In 2015, it took ChromeStars 1000 VPPs to be able to purchase a $10 cash reward (note that with 1000 VPPs a player in 2015 would have also earned a Stellar Reward of $10 plus have some progress towards a new one) . In 2016, it takes a ChromeStar 1000 VPPs to purchase a $25 cash reward.

In 2015, it took a SilverStar 666 VPPs to purchase a $10 cash reward in the store (note that this players would also be close to a $10 Stellar Reward or have progress towards higher Stellar Rewards with more than 5000 yearly VPPs). In 2016, it takes a SilverStar 800 VPPs to purchase a $25 cash reward in the store.

Tx, Matthew

Exactly. Same old shlt.

Yes, yes, we know you're not saying things are better. We all know they're not. The reason you think you get misquoted is because of your tendency to put lipstick on a pig.

In other words:

2015
- didn't offer Spin&Go tickets

2016
- offering Spin&Go tickets
- Minimum purchase of .25 for Spins

Semantics aside, this is a cash grab on the "extra earnings" by removing all reasonable options aside from the least profitable, fastest rake conversion option.

From an ecosystem perspective, could you please provide the logic on how giving a rec a $0.25 Spin & Go ticket for their 25 Starscoin is superior to having a $0.01 Starscoin cash rebate with a "convert x Starscoin to x cash" option where the same player can do whatever they want with their $0.25?

Daily conversion of all Starscoin to cash on player demand would increase liquidity, and in turn, improve the poker ecosystem. On the other hand, being forced to play a specific tiny margin game that lasts all of 3 minutes that I may or may not enjoy or be any good at makes rec Starscoin essentially worthless.

Please refrain from further redirection when quoting my posts.
Watch any politician being interviewed and you'll see the same thing. They have a list of pre-approved answers regardless of the questions.

There's also plenty of doublespeak to muddy the waters. All this talk of the poker ecosystem. To Amaya a healthy poker ecosystem is limiting withdrawals unless they're jackpot winnings that can be splashed on advertising. To players a healthy ecosystem is one where games are beatable - directly contrasting Amaya's vision.

We can go back and forth arguing what's better for the "ecosystem" but that's just playing into their hands and obfuscating the real issues. Pokerstars have never clearly defined what they consider a healthy ecosystem, they're just thrown some buzzwords out there for everyone to argue over.

Yeah, being able to top up with real money would definitely be a good thing.

Hi, based on your feedback and some internal discussions, we have now added a $10 cash bonus in the store for 1,000 StarsCoin. We may change this at some point in the future when we are able to get development for cash game tickets.

Thanks, Matthew

Hi Matthew,

why don't you add more rewards (like milestones, stellar rewards etc...) as per our feedback?
I think everyone would really appreciate.
Thanks.

You currently don't earn StarsCoin (or VPPs) for placing bets on sports.

Thanks,

He has already answered that many times. With new vip system you're earning more or less same. Lets say you were getting $480-490(including milestone rewards) in the old system, now you'll be getting $420-430 without any milestone rewards. But $50-60 that you're losing will be covered with promotions that they will be running every month or so. I've already won $13 in these cash games quests and that too by playing only 7 days, I could have won more if I played another 7 days.

Goldstar here:
I get Starcoins with a 4.x Multiplier while I used to get 2.0 Multiplier for FPP.

2.0 * 1.6(Starcoin Value divided by FPP Value in Cents) = 3.2, that means I earn 0.008$ or 0.8 starcoin per VPP more than last year.

This makes up for the lack of stellar rewards.

I'm not a fan of any of these changes, just explaining that taking stellars is not a thing Bronce-Goldstars have to complain about.

Am I mistaken somewhere?

Great, thank you for listening to us. Anyone on here suggesting that Pokerstars no longer listens to its players, well this just proves otherwise

Surely the "step" is a bit counter-productive?

People might say I better not play for the rest of the month as i have no hope of making that extra 800 coins so I'll just sit out for a few days.

That's what my mentality would be tbh. It's so freaking annoying your rake going down the drain 100%.

wait until the end of the month when you will receive partial rewards for your current incomplete step, and this should give you enough starscoin to push you over the threshold

happens if I don’t complete a Step?
Players with a VIP status of BronzeStar, ChromeStar, SilverStar, GoldStar or PlatinumStar have until the end of the month to complete their current Step. When the next month begins, you will start on a new Step associated with your VIP status.
StarsCoin for incomplete Steps will be released at 50% of the prorated value of the progress earned. For example, a BronzeStar player has earned 3 VPPs of the 5 VPPs required to complete their current Step, which offers a reward of 5 StarsCoin. 50% of the prorated value is (3/5 x 5 SC)/2 = 1.5 StarsCoin.
What about Supernova VIP status?
Supernova VIP Steps will operate on a yearly, rather than monthly, basis, and Supernova players will have until the end of the year to complete their current Step. Incomplete Steps will be released at 50% of the prorated value of their progress earned as of midnight ET on December 31.
Players achieve Supernova status when they reach 100,000 yearly VPPs.

well i guess in that case you'll just have to wait until the end of the year then. i think maybe if you email support they'll be able to sort something out for you beforehand so give that a try. pokerstars customer service has always been supportive and friendly; they clearly like to keep their customers happy, so there's a good chance you'll be able to reach an agreement over that 0.89 starscoin
