2+2 Petition For Stars To Introduce A Security Token
I have the secure id option from stars but it doesnt really help me feel safe. a keylogger would still crack it.
i would like to see stars use some sort of security token
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Security_token
Signed
*Edit: It would be optional of course*

Re: 2+2 Petition For Stars To Introduce A Security Token
Sure why not, as long as it's optional, so as not to discourage small stakes recreational players from playing.

Re: 2+2 Petition For Stars To Introduce A Security Token
Good idea for anyone, especially if they have another money account connected to their Stars account for deposits/withdrawal.

Re: 2+2 Petition For Stars To Introduce A Security Token
I voted yes, but I'm concerned about being able to get access to my account if the token is lost or stolen

They would think of something. I think the easiest way would be to require that you register a phone number with Stars if you are using a security token. Then if you claim you lost your token, they will make a quick phone call to verify that it is you who is claiming he lost it and not someone with access to your compromised email. Then they'd grant you access to your account.
Seems pretty cheap and simple to me. Are there any flaws there?

I guess that could work (unless the thieves stole your phone too). Ask for name, email, phone #, and security question. Not sure how willing Stars is to dedicate resources towards phone support though.

I'd sleep a lot easier with this feature in place.

Re: 2+2 Petition For Stars To Introduce A Security Token
If not this specific solution then ANYTHING more than what they currently have.
PLEEEEASE!!!!
So I vote yes for this...but it doesn't necessarily have to specifically be this for me to be happy and more comfortable with the situation.

Re: 2+2 Petition For Stars To Introduce A Security Token
I would even pay a small monthly fee for a better security system than what they have now.
Please Pokerstars nothing scarier than read another hacked Stars Account Thread and open anxiously my own Stars Account to see if it still "unhacked".

Both stars and FTP should have this option.

Re: 2+2 Petition For Stars To Introduce A Security Token
I think the cost is prohibitive for many players. How many of you would be prepared to pay an increase in rake by 10% to get something like this? Because Stars wouldn't pay for this system and the administration of it, that's for sure.
It would of course be good for players with a lot of money at the site.

Re: 2+2 Petition For Stars To Introduce A Security Token
That is not what we're talking about here. Not only that, Star's BS secure ID is not much different from using a longer password.

Re: 2+2 Petition For Stars To Introduce A Security Token
I don;t understand why sites arn't doing this. For big money players this is a must.
Why have none of the sites implemented logins which don;t include your playing name? OR options for IP specific logins/ security keys, or special security questions.
These should all be priority! We have been talking about this for over a year and no site has made any progress (at least to my knowledge).
