If you satellite to the $530 SCOOP event with a Step 4 Ticket, can you cash out your entry for T$? Thanks.

Hi,

I trust the mods will forgive this cross-posted "spam" for a PokerStars event. As some of you know, before moving to Sydney to work with PokerStars, I used to live in an Australian town called Wangaratta, which is just near the recent bushfires that have destroyed a number of towns and killed hundreds of people.

PokerStars is running a tournament to raise funds for the victims of the bushfire - to help rebuild the towns and lives damaged by the fire. It is tournament #141744975 (Tourney tab -> Special -> 'Australian Bushfire Appeal'). It is going to run at 10.30pm, PokerStars Server time on Feb 21 (2.30pm Australian time, on Sunday).

The entry fee to the tournament includes a $10 donation, which PokerStars will match dollar for dollar. It'd be nice to see folks take part in this if you'd like.

If you don't want to play, you're able to make donations via credit card online directly at www.redcross.org.au

$100 done.

gl with the tourney, josem. i think i helped organize one of star's first charity tourneys, and the turnout was fantastic. i hope you get a big field. i can't play, but will likely register and get blinded off in addition to the RC donation.

anyone without a credit card who can't play should do the same as an alternative to the red cross.

Salut,

I'm a german freelancer journalist and would like to get contact to the online professional poker player Stephen Chidwick ... Who can help me?

Best regards!

As you might know Tony G Poker employes telemarketers to get people to deposit again and promise some 3k tourney token, but getting called at 7pm with a blocked number on a weekend certainly isn't something that gets me to ever play there again.

Josem or any Stars employee- is there any way I can give the $10 portion to Stars to donate along with the rest? I'm not interested in the tournament but would gladly send that portion to be bundled into the donation.

Rigtard alert: here.

Can't really ask for it to be moved to the Zoo because he's craftily entitled it "SOFTWARE NEEDED...". I think the thread needs some Zoo input...

I'm finally on Facebook, so let's not get crazy with another new fangled webpage to eat up the rest of my free time.

Benefit of Facebook: found a girl I had the hudgest crush on in high school and she's now twice divorced, three kids and overweight. I win!

I thought they were okay- although it felt at times very last minute thrown together.
steve martin and tina fey paired together- good. jack black and jennifer aniston not so much. etc.

I'm still torn on the live mashup of best song nominations.

not that there's anything wrong with that.

i was only half way when i made my ghey post.

imo, the second half was awesome. the way they brought past winners to say nice stuff for all the acting awards, the lack of a voice over (which is a good thing), and a breakout performance by hugh jackman made this the best i can remember.
