Installed WPT Global a couple of weeks ago (I'm in Canada). The amount of collusion is
mind boggling and obvious, across multiple players on the table, not just 2. This is for the $110 or $220 dailies which attract somewhere between like 10 and 50 players. I'm positive it's happening at lower and higher buy-ins, if the latter exists.
Btw:
- I made a decent chunk of money playing other formats on the site (and promptly cashed everything out), and
- I've played on stars for a decade and gg since pretty much their inception.
I have 0 complaints about those sites from a collusion/bot standpoint. So basically, I have no reason to complain about this unless it's absolutely valid and clear, which it is.
Also and more importantly... after sending an email to WPT Global, the did an investigation and AGREED it was indeed collusion, and just refunded me back some random amounts which was way less than my total buyins and only refunding in tournament dollars.... which of course is pretty useless since most of the tournaments with the exception of maybe the multi day big events, continue to be rigged with collusion and bots.
TL DR :
Stay the eff away from WPT Global. Absolute scam and their security team is a joke. I doubt they have any real software measures in place for anti collusion, and it took me only a few hands to identify it.
Some examples with screenshots below.
This is a PLO tournament below. Basically it would go a few ways, in this example, blinds are 750/1500. All or most of them are in on it. UTG bot would limp 1500, I would complete, BB bot would min-raise (again, this is PLO), UTG bot would then re-min raise. Then 2 things would happen, and this happened hand after hand.
I'd either fold, in which case I'm out of the pot of course. Then the rest of the hand would go check check check.
Or, if I call there for 4500, BB UTG would then re min raise again, as would UTG.
This happened multiple times, with the other players too. Note that this is the bubble as well, and there would be complete soft play everywhere if I'm not in the pot.
I have about 20 screenshots of this stuff happening with the other players on this table, and from another tournament with a complete set of different players.
Anyway, that is my PSA for today.
