shouldn't rake be turned to insurance. For an instance like this. Cake could refund the guy all his previous rake in past years. lol. Or not they took everything, rake and all. rofl.

Rake such a stupid word, more like..

Ironic timing for the bump for this thread.

Looks like a similar story is about to unfold.

Just add another zero to the figure.

Edit: Have since discovered that they are more likely to be for five years, unless a lesser period is stipulated.
Unfortunately, its noncompetition agreements that must be limited to a reasonable duration. It is not uncommon for NonDisclosure Agreements to continue indefinitely, although it is possible that the NDA signed by OP had some specified duration.

This is correct. I think MH may have been confused on his terms. A typical NDA would be indefinite

Me? Confused?

I can't remember where I obtained the above information, but a quick Google gives, for example:

"Decide how long the information is to remain confidential. Generally, the term of a nondisclosure agreement is three to five years. However, information which will not become worthless after a certain amount of time may need to be protected indefinitely. The term of the agreement should be long enough to protect the information until it becomes stale or worthless, but should not be so long that it makes compliance by the employee or contractor difficult."

Maybe our friend could tell us how long his particular NDA is to remain in place?

Isn't it Cake's fault that those funds were used in the first place? Hope you get your money back.

Although this has been a difficult and complex process that included certain issues that have not been made public, Cake Poker has acted in an extremely professional manner in handling this and we are satisfied not only with the result but with the manner and the speed with which it has been handled. Although I'm sure many of you will have questions, unfortunately, we will not be able to answer them due to confidentiality reasons.

Thank you.

I read the whole thing actually...and was frustrated for op lmao. Glad it got solved but I guess well never know what actually happened unless the exact details on the settlement come out ...which by op signing the NDA means never.

Yeah I mean if I was OP I would just spill all the details anyway. What is Cake Poker Corporation going to do to him to enforce the NDA? Nothing.

Perhaps OPs word actually means something to him.

Just saw this thread from a Google search and all I can say is WOW! I will never make another deposit again on Cake Poker. It's one of the 3 regular sites that I play on. The last time I withdrew money from there, it took a month to process, but at least my check came and didn't bounce.

Cake did a terrible job in handling this issue to the point I will call them thieves. I love how they allow players to deposit huge amounts of money, let them play and after send them an email saying "we think you cheated so we're taking your roll".

The biggest issue though is why was there even a settlement? OP either cheated or he didn't, which means if he legitimately played poker, he should have gotten the entire roll back, not a portion of it. Absolutely, BS.

This thread is definitely top of google search when you type in cake poker. I went on cake poker today and it redirects you to Juicy stakes poker. I have no clue how they have been doing but just goes to show you how at one point cake was top of the line and then they are nothing.
