What is the reason for all these bounced checks? No sufficient fund or because the checks are from a poker site?

Cashed out 3k May 20th. Sent an email two weeks ago asking what was going on with my withdrawal, received a processing email in return . Week later, check received with no problems of depositing to bank. There's hope for us yet...

Requested Cashout 07/03/2011 for $3,000. On 08/03/2011 I pust a 30 day ban on my playing. On 9/03/2011 I put a 6 month ban on my playing. And for the US player that says that he got paid in just days that he claims it was just a fluke, I say to him his sister's ass is a fluke that he's just plain out right full of **** and he should take his BS elsewhere. If I ever get paid from Cake I'll consider it a gift. For now, I'll just stop playing online. In the meanwhile it seems that unless the US legalizes online poker there's never going to be another safe place to play.

No if you are desperate you can sell it at 50c on a dollar easy, but if you have 3 months to spare (6 months if bounced) then you are in good shape

Keep playing...Cake's minimum payout for U.S. check is $500
Then as noted by all these posts on this thread, a 3 momth wait and if lucky the check won't bounce.

I requested a 3k check on 7/7. I e-mailed them once a week since then asking when I would receive it, each time I was given a bull**** answer. 2 days ago I received an e-mail saying my check would be sent in the mail in the following 72 hours. Haven't seen it yet, waiting to see what happens.

Hey Guys!

I cashed out on may 19th and received my check about 5 weeks ago and it DIDNT bounce....I think they are on theyre way out and going out of business due to bankruptcy problems...I would NOT play on there and cash my money out as soon as possible. Also in addition from what im reading merge will be on their way out soon as well so online poker right now is a no-no. Its ok legalization is on its way so just hang in there but youd have to be crazy to leave more than $500 on any site right now...GL PEOPLE!!

How could it possibly take more than 90 days to process? There is hardly any real traffic on this site. Let's assume that a processor makes $10 per check to process. It can't be much more than that. For the processor to make a $1,000 for the day 100 checks have to be processed. This would mean that they process 9,000 checks in a 90 day period. That's a lot of checks in 90 days for a site like this. Conclusion: 90 days is way too long even if the processor is slow. So CAKE must be stalling on their side in the hopes that you reverse a payout. It's all just a ploy to hold onto our money as long as possible while they're ready to go under. If this weren't the case, non US players should be getting paid within 72 hours, not weeks.

Very interesting. My request was from around 7/4. Anyone else from this period been notified they're about to get paid? Wonder if the email pressure made any difference.

Before I checked this thread I emailed cake to see if they are processing cash outs at a regular rate now as I was thinking about buying in and got this response.

Hello Cory,

Thank you for your email. Please note that the backlog has more or less been cleared with cashouts processing time becoming shorter. Cashouts should be processed within 5-7 business days however we cannot guarantee a definitive time frame.

Please let us know if we can be for further assistance

I see people are still waiting 3 + months so it is nice to see they are still blatantly lying to customers willing to give them another try.

I think and hope this might be the case. I had my August 20th request processed already. What I found helpful is to send them a number of follow up emails regularly requesting that my cashout be expedited. My emails are always polite even when I'm most frustrated with Cake. This seems to have helped and the very least can't hurt.

I got my check and deposited it during the second week of August, it cleared with no problem. I am still waiting on my next cashout that I initiated on 8/8 that has not started processing yet.

Please be aware that just checked on my payout after another 30 days past and I received the following response:

[Hello*****,
Thank you for your email. Firstly let me say that we fully understand your frustration in this matter. It is not our intention to keep player's in the dark. We just did not have an update for you hence one was not provided. We are doing all we can to get back up to our regular processing time.
If there was any way I could have the funds with you right now, I would. I'm afraid there is not though and it is a matter of waiting at this stage. We will be in touch as soon as the funds have been sent.
We sincerely apologize for any inconvenience and thank you for your continued patience in this matter.
Please let us know if we can be of further assistance.
Kind Regards,

I responded thanking him for the response and I get this:

[Hello *****,

Thank you for your prompt reply and feedback. We are doing all we can to ensure that these delays are a thing of the past and we hope to be able to confirm that soon !

Thank you for the patience you have shown and hopefully we do not have to ask you to show the same in the future.

Good luck at the tables !

Please let us know if we can be of further assistance.

"Hopefully we do not have to ask you to show the same in the future." At this point I really don't care about the money I am just using this wonderful forum to speak the truth. Like many others here, they are holding our money hostage and then they are going to tell you to be nice or we'll have to tell you to be nice. Let me tell you, let me hold your $3,000 and you can send me all the emails you want. It will not bother me a bit. But this email tells me that these guys are thugs. I'm a bit older, and I played with real gangsters and never got bullied like this.
