Hi all, new to the site and would appreciate a bit of guidance.

Im British but work in the Middle East, unfortunately my internet is routed through the US and I have a US IP address. This obviously restricts where I can play.

I dont mind playing on a new site but dont want to be requesting cheques etc when cashing out. Can anyone recommend a site which has a smooth and easy cashout procedure? Preferably straight into my bank account.

Thanks,

fundrazor

Bodog

Have cashed out a few times there with no problems and has taken only a few days. I think they pay into your bank is a cash out option.

Hmmm I had a look at the bodog cashout thread and it seems some people have had problems there, also direct bank transfer doesnt seem to be an option anymore, wire transfers or checks only by the looks of things.

I had a look at the landshark site, looks a bit cartoonish, I might make a min deposit and check it out.

Im used to playing on Stars or UK sites like Victor Chandler and Ladbrokes where they deposit the money straight into your bank account. Anytime I check out a new site and they dont do this Im like wtf, it just becomes a pain in the ass and you've gotta question their motives.

Maybe I should just stay away from online poker till I return to the UK. It could be a long few months....

I can attest to Bodog payouts.

Have received 3 checks within the last 1.5 months. They have arrived in 3-7 days, no trouble cashing them. You get 1 free check per month.

Play on Carbon also, have yet to receive check requested 8/28.

My .02c

Btw...I think most sites ability to deposit directly into bank is limited greatly in the US.

I'm hoping I can get my Merge account(Felt Stars) switched to another skin on the network. Now my question is what skin should I try switch to? Does Carbon Poker have the best promotions or another skin?

Are there any US-friendly poker softwares that have tournament structures of 'winner takes all' or at least something close to it? Obv not ideal for mtt consisting of 1000+ players but maybe like a 20$ buyin, 100 players.. only top 1-3 cash to keep the winnings better and more worth it for ur buck. Sucks playing a tourney for 5 hours just to barely 2x ur money. Just curious.. something id be interested in.

ur right, better to play a tourny for 5 hours and get nothing

Bodog works great. Theyve kept their players around and anyone whos played there from the beginning with also attest to that. My checks have been received from them 2 weeks TOPS and thats from date of cashout, not date of check bein sent. Theyre the most reputable guys on the web for the US right now.. and if u have visa.. their deposit success is good.

I'm pretty sure Bodog is pulling out of the US market by the end of the year.

Your question doesn't make a whole lot of sense. You can't "switch your Merge account", you would start another one on a new skin, but Americans haven't been able to open new accounts on Merge for a number of months now.

You can request Skin changes. I've moved accounts to other skins on everleaf and cake.

What makes you pretty sure of that schlucky? I haven't saw anything suggesting that anywhere else on the forum.

Of course I only joined today...

When I cashout on Stars the money is usually in my bank account the following business day.
Once I had the funds the same day. I withdrew some money around 12:15am, and later that day around 4pm the money was in my account. Can't ask for much better.

That makes zero sense to me, and I've never heard of it, but I guess I'll have to take your word for it. Are you sure you don't mean having your rakeback account switched? Because I know that can be done on networks like Cake that only allow one rakeback account - but that still requires separate accounts, not getting the account itself moved.

Move to a different country and open a bank account there once you have a permanent address.

I'm pretty sure this misinformation has been posted and corrected a few hundred times by now.

Nope the actual account. Technically your only allowed to only have 1 account on the entire network. If you ask for an account to be moved they will generally do it. Atleast cake/everleaf never gave me a problem. However I'm not sure if Merge would let US players switch because they stopped US Signups.
09-24-2011 , 05:37 PM
You can have multiple accounts on Cake, Everleaf, and Merge.
09-24-2011 , 07:29 PM
I believe you are only allowed 1 account on the Everleaf Network, however it is not often enforced. If someone really needs to know they can ask Neil in the Everleaf thread and I'm sure he'll clear it up.

Ive been playing at betonline. Ive read a few threads about them some negative stuff but i havent had any issues. Ye the software crashes sometimes which sucks but generally i was able to log in during the discconect time. What i really like is the super soft games and quick cash out, requested a MG and got it in 3 days. Ye the cashout cost me 40$ but how many options do i have as a US ? As far the whole network issue idk, betonline has a A- rating for financial on sbr..from waht i read in sbr forums it seems like betonline bought or licensed the softwate from hero network maybe why they say they arent part of them, idk if they share players or not but frankly if they use their own cashout system and pay me i dont really care..just saying ivehad much better exp at betonline than any of the other current networks make of it what u will...btw their tourneys are bascially nill, only good for cash games.
