Yatahay traffic is pretty ****ty, and merge obvi doesnt allow US players anymore. I have no experience with cake.
Would you recommend Everleaf over Bodog? Really those are the two I'm debating between right now:

Bodog- Significantly better traffic (about twice as many NLHE/PLO tables as Everleaf on avg night)
- 110% deposit bonus (with relatively decent clearing)
- Virtually no rakeback (points system which, in effect, gives 1% rakeback)
- 4 table max (not really a personal concern for me)
- Potential problems with the switchover at the end of the year?

Everleaf- Somewhat worse traffic (potentially difficult to even get 4 PLO tables going at once?)- though I have heard that their traffic has been increasing rather significantly
- 100% depoist bonus (relatively decent clearing)
- 40% rakeback
- 8 table max

- Both sites seem to have good customer service
- Both sites seem to have good cashouts (though I've heard slightly better reviews from Everleaf)

Really, for me, it comes down to which is more important- twice the traffic on Bodog, or the 40% rakeback from Everleaf?

I think I've held out waiting for Merge as long as I could... =/ (rumors were that it'd be resolved by the end of July, but I guess they were just rumors...)

Personally, I would recommend playing on both

That will allow you to table select and take advantage of Bonus offers, etc... One of the only downsides would be if you signed up to Everleaf through an affiliate that offers a RakeChase which adds a decent amount of value, you may want to focus only on that site to increase your return in the Rake Chase.

You may want to deposit at one first, but it is beneficial to play on multiple sites if you are planning on playing Omaha and wanting to multi-table heavily.

Poker Scout actually shows a sharp decline which is probably in response to Cash Games being allowed in Italy from the licensed Italian sites.

That being said, Everleaf was 3 different Networks previously and now they are a single Network so the appearance is that they have gained traffic overall

Is it true you can only play 4 tables on Bodog? , if so why the hell would they do that??

dont get it.

If you move to another country can you just login and start playing on stars? how does that work?

how do they know you didnt just get something that changes your ip address to say you live in another country.

If I live in another country for a few months can I play or do you have to have citizenship?

thanks

USA players can't join Everest... so our best bet is Bodog?

What are the cons to possibly wanting to deposit on Bodog, being a USA player?

Because they do everything they can to keep winning poker players from playing on their site. Horrific software that costs you money every day, no mass tabling, no rakeback, no VIP program, no reload bonuses, nada. They want people to lose their money to them betting sports and in their casino not to you playing poker.

I was informed by a couple of poker players that Bodog would be leaving the US market at the end of the year. I thinking about depositing there but they said it was not a good idea. Has anyone heard of this happening?

the article states that the bodog brand is leaving the US market. Play will resume as usual under a different name.

Are you confusing Everest with Everleaf? Everest wasnt open to US players even before Black Friday, Everleaf was and is open to US players as we speak.

Depends on the bank policies. Many decline gaming transactions. The bank you use must not have that restriction at the moment.

Bodog does it for the same reason they don't offer Rakeback. They've taken the stand that the games are more profitable(for them and the players) if they don't attract every mass multi-tabling RB grinder.

Bodog is mainly a Sporstbook, who just happens to have a Poker Room. Their main focus is the Sportsbook/Casino.

You can play on Cake. It feels clunky at first after FTP, but the UI will grow on you.. The tournament structures are also different with lower antes to SB/BB ratios late. They seem to have more rebuy tourneys then freezeouts. But they play is tight also. Sit n go's not much to choose from but you can get into double ups most of the time. Cash games are few at all levels but seem to draw fish late at nite hungry for action. IMO its really not that bad considering that us USA players really don't have many choices.

BetOnline.com. Action poker network with a solid rep for 2week payouts.

IMO, you have better choices than Cake. Cake payouts are ridiculously slow and they are even ridiculously slow for non US players, which is cause for concern, IMO.

Also, they have a tendency to be a bit shady, IMO. Refusing to pay a player his 50-60K because his opponent wasn't playing rational poker? WTF! We don't know how it was settled because they made the player sign a Non Disclosure Agreement, which is kinda shady in itself.

If you are going to play on the Cake Network, I would recommend skins that have their own Cashier. Poker World was a very good skin until they stopped taking US players about a week ago. I would now probably look at Intertops.

Anybody know if they have Don's?

AFAIK, Action doesn't accept Americans.

BetOnline is some stand alone sportsbook. They are not linked to ActionPoker or the network. Which can only be a good thing since Action and their skins have been failing to pay players and big affiliates for over one year.

BetOnline is a Sportsbook that recently opened a Poker site.

The OP of this is getting confused because BetOnline is using the same SOFTWARE as the Action Poker Network

A sharp decline in Everleaf's traffic? And yes, I was more referring to their network merge resulting in overall higher traffic

Yes, if you look at Poker Scout, Everleaf has lost a large amount of traffic in the last month or two.

Since they merged the Networks though, it's not really noticeable to most players. In fact, a lot of players say they have noticed traffic increasing because of the merge.

How's the SNG traffic on Merge? Especially single table, you think I can run 12 micro stakes tables for single table turbos?
