What you're looking for does not exist. Cake is probably the closest thing, however you have a couple problems with that choice.

1)Checks are taking 2months+ Do you really want to put money on a site that is obviously having trouble paying out its players. I sure don't, but that is up to you.

2)They basically stole 50k off some guy because of a mistake they made. There is a stick about it I believe. I suggest you read it and form your own opinion.

If I were you, I would go with bodog. Yes, there is no RB and a 4 table max it's definitely going to kill your bottom line, but at least when you finally decide to cash out you will get paid promptly.

Not gonna happen anywhere now. You'd have to put some money on a few different sites.

Ok, so i made a post the other day and it was closed.... simply because there are lots of threads about the topic in general. Those posters and the closer ignored my specific question. i understand there HAS been a lot of talk and posts about where U.S. players can play.

In fact I was on one of those others sites... PokerWorld. What I was posting about was that PokerWorld ALSO just pulled out of market. And since then..... Im not sure where else we can still play. Im not finding anything detailing this since a few others pulled out.

so... please, any NEW news and CURRENT sites still allowing U.S. players, anyone know anything.

It doesn't do me a whole lot of good to look at old threads discussing U.S. sites when that INFO has changed!

Thanks!

Or you could stop trying to throw your money on a fire and stop trying to find new unreliable sites to play on!

Right now the biggest sites accepting U.S. players are Bodog, Cake, Yatahay Network (includes TruePoker and DoylesRoom), and the Everleaf Network.

It is rumored that the Merge Network (which is larger than all of the above) will start accepting U.S. players again soon, but no specific date has been released publicly that I am aware of.

The information in this thread is still relevant because the only thing that has changed is one skin on Cake.

The other information ITT is still correct and it's still relevant because like you said, there is nothing new.

Are you looking for something specific about a site?

Here is a post I created a while back and will copy it again and the information should still be correct:

Everleaf(Minted Poker, RaiseandFold,etc...)- Offers fast Western Union Cashouts. I've made multiple Cashouts by Western Union since Black Friday and have received in 2-3 days every time. They offer 40% RB, Deposit Bonuses, RakeChases(through the right affiliates), and the other 'skin' promotions (Example: Minted poker offers various promotions each month). Minted Poker has a sponsored thread on 2p2 that a Minted Neil(Minted Poker rep) posts on to answer questions and resolve any issues. RaiseandFold owner also posts on 2p2 and is always available to answer questions and take suggestion as is Neil. Everleaf Network was made up of 3 separate Networks but last week they combined them to increase traffic accross all skins. The traffic is decent and improving. The software is playable and HUD's are allowed, though it has a few issues, but they will be releasing a new Poker Client in approximately 2 months.

Yatahay (True Poker, Doyles Room, etc...)-Offers fast cashouts. I've requested multiple Paper Checks since Black Friday and I've received all of them in under 2 weeks. For a paper check that is pretty quick. They offer 27% RB, First Deposit Bonus and frequently run large Rake Races Network Wide. They have large Guaranteed Tournaments(Sat. 7.5K, Sunday 15K and a 3.5K daily) on the weekends for the size of the Network that frequently have Overlay and have plenty of Satellites running to them. True Poker has a site Rep on 2p2 and a sponsored forum to help answer questions. The Traffic is low and has been up and down recently. They had gained a lot of Traffic but lost some when they released a new Poker Client and initially had some issues with it. The software still has some issues, but all US facing sites do currently, IMO. PT3 is compatible with the new Poker client.

Bodog- Offers fast Cashouts also. I've not requested on from Bodog since Black Friday but all accounts point to very fast Cashouts. They do NOT have RB available. THey have a VIP system which does not offer much value, IMO. They also limit the amount of tables that you can play at one time to 4! The software is pretty unique and it seems to get mixed reviews. I've not had issues on it personally, but have only played a very small volume on Bodog.

My final suggestion would be to play on multiple Networks to help get your volume in. This may mean playing 3 tables on Minted Poker, 3 tables on Yatahay, and 4 tables on Bodog(just an example). This will allow you to take advantage of the promotions that may be going on at different Networks, table select, and still receive fast Cashouts. I would personally avoid Cake because of their shady history that continues(see sticky at top of Internet Poker Forum where they are not paying a player that won 50-60K). They have had a lot of trouble paying even non-US players, with MoneyBookers taking multiple weeks on average.

NOTE: I left out Merge because they are currently NOT accepting new US players!

Thank you!. I did read today that Merge may start allowing US players again. Also read that Bodog at some point will no longer be allowing US players... or at least under that name.

Merge has been rumored to start allowing US Sign-ups soon, but still nothing official.

Bodog will stop accepting players under the Bodog brand, but there will be a skin that accepts US players and they will all be under the same Network.

+1...I'm interested too.

Also, I don't know if this recently happened or what but I just went to Doyle's Room website to check it out and it has been seized by DOJ and Homeland Security

Thanks, Apari, for the Pokerscout reference. It seems Merge, Bodog, and Cake still take US players for now. Opinions, please: Is it foolish to put, like $50 -that I am well aware I may never get back- online just to practice/keep playing. I find that the play $ games seem to be folks just foolin' around. I don't need to grind 10hrs/day to feed my family...but I used to play couple/few times a week for a few hours. I really miss it. Home games/Casinos just aren't as easy to get to, etc, "wah-wah-wah" you know all the complaints...

If y'all do recommend it...any sites you would give a Thumbs-up to for a US player?
07-29-2011 , 10:00 PM
Carbon
Bodog
Cake

is that really all USA has to look forward to now?

If you want to drop $50 and play some poker for fun I dont believe its foolish. As a casual player Bodog or Truepoker wouldnt be bad choices for you. If you want to play a lot of tables or grind rakeback youd be better off at Merge if you already have an account there.

Everleaf and Truepoker are two others and there are a few more. Problem is if you combine them all they still arent as good as Stars.

yeah but thats the most "popular" 3 for US.. if i can even say that.. sigh

top usa site rakes in barely 3-4k players

People are very upset about many things. Dems., including Obama, are in deep trouble with the people. Reps. are in still more trouble. Perhaps all will calm down by election time. Perhaps Dems. will gain House and lose Senate. Perhaps there will be a blood bath during the primaries, with both Dems. and Reps. incumbents being shown the door.

I hope it is the latter. Then, perhaps, the DoJ will get cleaned out. Holder will be looking for a new job. The pressure on internet poker will die.

Yeah it sucks. I wish Cake wasnt having such horrifically slow cashouts. Only a couple years ago Id have been completely content playing there. There was plenty of action, never any cashout issues, and their support was top notch, generally considered by a lot of us here second to only Stars in the industry. It would be nice if they got their act together but they just seem to be falling apart lately.

Look on the bright side, in a few more months it will be:

Caesars Entertainment
Borgota
Your cousin Vinny's basement game
