Where Can US Players Play? Where Can US Players Play?

After 5 years of almost daily online poker it's home games and casinos for me. I won't go through the hoops of trying to get money online just to have the DOJ seize it.

I just started on bodog. I'm attempting a cashout now to see if its worth playing on in future

They are going from online casinos like ftp and stars to illegal underground games where threat of robbery and death is always a concern.

I have no idea where I should put this question (Internet, beginner, Small Stakes MTT) so I will put it here.

For a US player what is the better place to find a good selection of small/medium stakes MTT to play. I am playing now at Carbon Poker which is fine for their cash games but their tournament selections are really weak.

Whats the best MAC-friendly site for US Players and where depositing $50 or less is simple.
I was on Carbon a bit but UMW....well R.I.P. so didn't know if bodog or minted or anywhere else may be good with easy deposit options. Thanx

Hi, I'm a US player that used to play on Full Tilt fairly regularly, but took a break, came back and found the black friday mess. Sorry if this question is discussed elsewhere but I can't really find the answers I'm looking for.

I've been searching around the forums and generally it seems that Lock Poker is one of the top choices for replacing stars/FTP.
I have some questions about it:
1) What's the rake rate? I googled for this and couldn't find it.
2) Are there other good US sites right now (besides like... cake?)? What's the softest sites? (in terms of competition)
3) Which ones offer rakeback/how much?

Thanks!

I've tried almost every site taking US players, and the player pool really sucks so to save you a lot of time, just don't play. Just wait.

Really the best thing to do, DOJ can go after these other sites any day now.

Merge no longer offers rakeback. If you have it great if not you missed the boat. The sites that you can play on:

Yatahay: (True poker, Doyles room, etc)
Cakepoker: (Cake, juicy stakes, etc)
Merge: (RPM, Carbon, Lock, Black chip, Hero etc)
Everleaf: (Minted, Raiseandfold, Raising cards, etc)
Bodog

These are pretty much your only options. Cake is questionable at this moment. That leaves the other choices.

Rakeback on Everleaf you can get 40%
Rackback on Cake you can get 33%
No rakeback offered for new players on Bodog at this moment.
Yatahay I believe you can get up to 27%

Looks like Merge just stopped accepting US players. Is that right?

Also the term "skin" means just a different looking application for the same "network" as some other skins right? I.e. RPM and Lock share the same players/can't have the same username on both sites?

Skin is like different look but same players. Different promotions are offered on different skins. Can't have the same username on both sites is correct.

I have been researching Lock Poker, but I cannot find what their updated Rakeback program is. All I can find is that they are not offering rakeback after june 1st, which has already passed. I dont know how it will compare to other poker rooms. Where can I find information regarding the updated rake/VIP offers specifically for Lock after June 1st? thanks

I'm wondering this too. I hear Carbon Poker is good but I don't know if they're US/Allow HUD or what. They do have rakeback though.

I have been reading that Carbon is on the same network as Lock (Merge) and that both are discontinuing rakeback through an affiliate as of June 1st..

so yeah idk

Wondering if anyone can confirm this. I was thinking of switching to carbon but I def need something with rakeback.

check their .eu sites.

New players cannot get rakeback on Lock, Carbon or any other Merge sites now. You would have to participate in their VIP programs which vary from site to site. However, no Merge sites are currently allowing new signups from US players either. That is supposed to be only temporary for a month or so but the chance to get rakeback there is already gone for good.

O wow... I thought that they were still allowing U.S. players to sign up. Which sites still accept new sign ups from the US, have rakeback and allow HUD? Its hard to tell... I hate having to go through each site individually.....

I know there are others who are looking for the same thing

I've been a HUGE advocate for RPM since I switched from FullTilt post-BF. Their support is absolutely unparalleled. Unfortunately, making withdrawals from RPM right now is basically not possible whereas Lock has their own cashier through their casino that is processing withdrawals very efficiently. Starting on Monday you will be able to get money from Lock casino cashier to your bank account in less than a week. This is HUGE right now so it's hard for me to recommend playing anywhere else.

I don't think there are any sites now that meet those requirements. The only networks still taking new US players are Cake, Bodog, Everleaf, and Yatahay. I guess Everleaf (like Minted Poker) technically would but the traffic there is pretty pathetic.

Do they offer rakeback?

OP is asking for a new US site to signup for. Lock nor any other Merge sites are taking new US players right now so I don't see how this will help the OP at all.
