Hey, i'm thinking about joining a room through a rakeback site.

I just don't understand what extra i get? The site i'm looking at pay a flat 36% rake anyway as far as i can see, which is exactly what the rakeback room is offering. What is the point in going through the rakeback site?? It is Redstar Poker btw.

In most cases you must sign up through a rakeback affiliate to get it. If you go directly to the room then you will not get it although sometimes you can go right to the room. Red Star pays you 36% of the total rake you pay weekly. Rakeback is based on rake/# of players x 36%.

The extra value in a case like this where the room offers 36% and the affiliate does as well would be that you can often get bonus type items from an affiliate (electronics, gift cards, strategy videos, coaching, books, etc.).
