I think partypoker is the closest site to FTP or stars for EU players.
It just has no rake-/cashback offers,so it might be nothing for you.
The only thing I'd know instead of partypoker would be a site of the ipoker network. For cashback sign up on noiqpoker.com or chilipoker...those are known to do pretty good in cashback.

As far as software and player base goes, Party is probably the one with the most features.

might sound stupid but instead of using credit card on ftp/ps could you use paypal/netteller which would avoid tax laws?

I'm pretty sure if you fund your account through Neteller you still have to pay taxes.

b2b/entraction is about the only software that comes close to stars/ftp in terms of playability and you can get 55% rb (contributed) easily enough.

Everest, Microgaming, Boss, Betfair, Ongame, Party, Ipoker are in order of what imo are the best software elsewhere.

This wasn't even worthy of a single question mark. What's not clear about "Cant play on FTP&stars becouse of taxes."? Aside from minor punctuation/spelling issues, that is.

that depend on
if you are looking for player size, bonus/RB, or software
player size = ipoker/ongame/party poker
bonus/RB= somebody can answer this
software= prima/microgaming (auto center)

My choice would be iPoker/Ongame. Nothing wrong in having accounts on both networks either.

I would say it's the best, but it's very close between iPoker and Ongame.
It might shift over to Ongame after they update their software.

The fact that in general, it shouldn't matter what site you play on; your tax situation should be the same regardless of site. Unless he is talking about evading taxes (which also doesn't make a whole lot of sense, either). The only case I could see it matter is if the site is run in the country you are in, then I guess there is some chance you might be taxed on winnings from one site vice one run in a different country.

The laws of the EU deny double-taxing. In other words, if the poker site runs it's operations inside the ETA, it's tax free.
I.e. Partypoker is a tax free site. FTP (license at Kahnawake gaming comission) is not a tax free site.

Perhaps it shouldn't, but from what I understand from several times I've seen similar things posted here, it does:

iPoker may not have the overall softest games (debatable), but the network's other traits overcome that imo.

I haven't tried Betfair, which has a horrible software imo and is a somewhat small site, but I have played on Bodog so the smallness probably doesn't matter.

I also haven't really played the cash games on Microgaming. While the software is good, I somehow don't like the place.

I last played on Boss in March '07 (after that I moved to iPoker). While the games and the support and money transfers etc. are ok, I'm not a huge fan of the software, and the rb/bonuses are pretty poor compared to iPoker/Ongame.

Ongame is one of the other networks I have played a lot on. The software has a lot of flaws/bugs (but a lot of good sides to it also. Still no match to iPoker sw imo.) and the games are good, but I stopped playing there for some reason.

I'll probably go back there in a few months or so. I always do.

Cryptologic's software is like a slightly worse version of Stars.

However, traffic is LOW (I don't mind since I don't play that many tables but others might.

thanks for your answers everyone!
Checking out iPoker and Ongame as you seem to like those, party has crappy RB/Bonus AFAIK so that kinda doesnt work.

run good everyone=)
