Mods: if you have any issue with my post, please let me know. My goal for posting is to prevent the community from being scammed. I will also be posting this on r/poker

Posting this as PSA/Warning to anyone thinking of using an "agent" to create a GG account for you. I'm providing my story as a cautionary tale so that you don't get scammed like me & many others. TL;DR provided at the bottom. Along the way, I will provide links to images of the convos plus some extra proofs.

I'll start with the scam summary itself. LordYar (the scammer) showed me a 'sketchy looking' link to a Ukrainian forum from back in 2019 how to scam "gullible americans" and this is where he got the idea. Rather than providing that sketchy looking link, I'll show a photo of the post translated into English. [Scam Summary]

Lord Yar (TG info) is from Ukraine (Proof) and has an account selling thread on PlayerUP which is easily findable called "verified GGpoker accounts". (DDG Result) Since 2024, there's been several users stating the exact same things about having their balances stolen after he creates an account for them. He's done his best to get PlayerUP admins to delete these feedbacks but several still remain. (This post on his thread sums up LordYar's behavior perfectly)

Believing he was legit (early 2023) I paid him $200 to create a GG account for me. He used my email address but retained his phone number (because I'm from the US so I didn't want any US-based phone to get flagged). I started out losing badly and ended up getting tilted after bout a week and withdrew my balance. About a week later, I got an email saying someone had logged into my GG account. I was tilted, not planning on player poker anytime soon anyway, so I didn't even bother to look further.

Fast forward to a few months ago and when I try to login to the account, it needs to verify the phone number, so I hit him up on TG to ask if he can give me the code. He says he doesn't have that number anymore, that he goes through hundreds of phones (via eSIM) (proof at the very bottom) so he has no way to recover the account. He also maintains a library of identification documents (PROOF) he's purchased over the years to show me that once he steals (or attempts to steal) an account's balance, he loses track of it. (GIF of the video he sent me scrolling through his library of identification documents)

But I was in luck! Because he was in need of fast money and would simply create another account for me in 3 days (which turned into 2 weeks) and this time he would only ask for $75. Not thinking much of it, I agreed. [In hindsight, he wanted to create a new account because he had already discarded the previous account's info so he wouldn't be able to recover it] Two weeks later, he finally delivers and also provides me with the ID documents (passport & proof of residence) he used to create the new account (giving me the illusion of security). Happy as can be, I logged in, added a fund password & changed everything about the account except the phone number.

Deposited $600 for the full welcome bonus via BTC, loaded up my VPN and I'm playing poker on the best site in 2024. What could go wrong?

Exactly one week later, my password doesn't work (when its been saved). Hit up LordYar to ask WTF is going on & he tells me one of his "workers" must have recovered the account using his phone. To this day, he refuses to explain how his "worker" happened to obtain his phone plus also have knowledge that there was a GG account attached to it. LordYar provides me with the 2FA code, I login and change all my account info for the 2nd time. He promises to "kick that workers ass and fire him" and then tells me "so you have about $460 in there, right?" When I ask him why the **** he knows my account balance, he claims "oh my worker told me". (5 images of this conversation)

Hindsight is 20/20, I should've immediately put in a withdrawal request but I was afraid of the account being flagged because of his "worker" logging in, changing my password, then me logging back in and changing it all back again. Honestly, at this point, I think I was in a lose-lose situation. I wanted to keep the account as well so I didn't put in the withdraw request which probably would've been flagged anyhow.

Not even 24 hours later, the account is completely gone. Every single thing on the account was changed including the email. But, I'm able to catch it in time, emailed GG security and they froze the account (and its been frozen ever since). Now, LordYar is emailing GG security with his BS story, I'm emailing them with my BS story and most likely the funds will just be confiscated (which I would prefer rather than the scammers getting it).

I would find out later from GG security that LordYar and his team emailed GG support claiming the account was stolen and sent them a headshot of themselves holding the passport (the same passport that LordYar gave me a jpeg of). (This is either one of his workers or LordYar himself) GG support buys their BS story & the headshot photo then gives them a link to reset everything on the account. This is the primary method of how they steal/recover the accounts after a deposit has been made.

As we're fighting on TG back & forth, he shows me his BTC wallet which has $80,000 worth of transactions. He's used this same wallet since he started scamming. (Blockchain Link) He would go on to indirectly state that "before him they were scamming 100% but I lowered that to 80%" and he pretends like he's not a career thief. Then says "I just increase scam % to 100% lol" (6 images of his BTC wallet & him discussing his profits)

LordYar recruits poker players to have their account & balance stolen but tries to pretend like he's not part of the "scammers" or who he calls the "workers". He claims to fire the ones that recover accounts, yet his workers have access to the phones & emails he's using, are emailing GG support with headshots holding passports, etc. Since he's just the smooth talking bullshitting salesman/recruiter while his team does the stealing, he tries to absolve himself from his role in it. (Talks about his workers here) Bottom line is after they login to steal the balance, if there's nothing to steal, they just trash the account information OR sell it to other scammer groups.

All I wanted to do was play poker on what's considered the best site these days. The options in the US suck. This scammer & his team know this and with the Ukrainian currency having a massive USD exchange rate, even $100 can be a lot to them. You can make fun of me or whatever but I hope someone who's searching for "GG accounts for sale" comes across this thread & I can help prevent someone else from getting their money stolen.

TL;DR - Found LordYar on PlayerUP; seemed to have decent vouches (at the time didn't know he was paying PlayerUP to delete bad feedback) almost 2 years ago. His sales thread will come up when you type his name in a search engine, he's been doing this since at least 2019. This guy has a team of scammers who he pays to find people willing to sell their identification documents + headshots holding them which he uses to create GG (and sometimes Stars) accounts. He also buys documents from other scammer groups.

Scammer LordYar will create your account, let you deposit & play on it for 2-3 weeks, then his team will try to recover the account using a phone to login with google authenticator & withdraw your balance via BTC. If you are smart & set a 'fund password', they will circumvent this by emailing GG support with the headshots of the person that provided the passport & claim that the account was stolen. Support will provide them with a complete reset link. They will change all of the account information, then withdraw your balance. After everything, LordYar has scammed me for roughly $1000 USD. DON'T FALL FOR THIS SCAM!
