Bumping my own post b/c I feel so strongly about it. You have to be a total idiot to implement such rake structure, and a bigger one to actually consent and play with it.

It's a good bump and you are 100% correct. The sad thing is that the smart people involved in the network know you are correct.

yup, but people are still playing here. I think, unfortunatly, the reg fish love this crap.

They usually dont beat the games, but now they can loose and make a few grand back if they play all day everyday. Add their RB, or VIP and theyre now making back more of a percentage than they usually would.

What they probably dont think of, bc theyre fish, is that they are most likely loosing even more than normal at the tables, making the promo not worth grinding.

So frustrating now that the better softwares and best online poker company in the world are no longer in the US, online poker operations seemingly run by two guys out of a basement are given free reign.

The rake is laughable.
The software sucks.
Little to no dialog between the site and players about these issues.

These terrible companies are only able to subsist because now that the legitimate players are gone the slum lords rule the land -- stifling positive innovation and healthy player/site dialog.

A few regular tables are available. But they're reg-infested. I still play them because most of the regs aren't so great, but they are still way way harder than they were before the stupid Beast. Most of the real fish migrated to the BBJ/Beast tables because they're misled by the promotion.

Can anyone with a reasonably sized database throw up some numbers on how much they are paying into the Beast? Something like stakes, number of hands, total rake paid, rake without beast/bbj included, current number of beast points, would be great in finding out just how much damage these promotions are doing to winrates. I would do it, but having transitioned to PT4 from PT3 from HEM1 over the last month, I've lost hands, so it wouldn't be accurate.

this. i have never played on winning. the dealt method is super attractive to me, the beast and bbj however is not, get rid of these and i may get my feet wet in the cash games again. havent played cash since BF.

they offer player points by dealt right? this isnt typical in todays industry eh?? seems most rooms use contributed, not?
