Depends what you mean by "win the pot solo". If you take down the blinds with a raise, they don't drop for the BBJ or Beast.

If SB limps, and BB and SB both check it all the way down, then yes, the "winner" loses 2 cents. It's pretty horrible and unthinkable that this could exist on a poker site.

I have yet to play on this site, mostly because of this too. 2 additional forms of rake for playing at the microstakes, probably would make it impossible for me to beable to win.

If they lower the rake I would be back grinding. You're simply wasting your time and money playing anything less than 100nl. Until then I refuse to be fleeced. I would love to grind up a roll again but they've essentially made that nearly impossible playing cash.

So you paid 1.2c per hand which is $1.20/100 = 12bb/100. Seems not fun.

But no the cash outs are timely.

Since WPN reps have made it clear they don't intend to do away with The Beast I would ask that they restructure not just the payouts but also make the points proportionate to the rake contributed on a player by player basis.

And make the fee proportionate to the stakes. For instance the $0.25 fee at $25nl is 1 big blind. They wouldn't dare charge $4 at $400nl table so why so much at microstakes?

Most likely (just a guess), this site isn't run by people who play poker or have any experience with poker, and don't think of things like this, and can't fathom why people are upset about them.

Judging by how many instances there are of things like this, and how indifferent the network is to them, I don't see another plausible explanation.

I think you are mostly right however if you look at how the new SnG promo is structured, it is exactly like what I wrote in the previous post. Points are based on rake contributed and the jackpot contribution is proportionate to the stakes. This makes it so that people can't just load up on 50 tables of the lowest stake and win the promo.

If they could restructure The Beast to reflect the better qualities of the Sit and Crush I think a lot of people would be a lot happier and give much more positive feedback in this forum.

FWIW people in this forum have a lot of good ideas about how they could make their promos better not just for players but for the network's bottom line.

If in fact they are clueless to the nuances of the poker ecosystem, hopefully they can be open to outside perspectives.
