I refuse to play on the network till they lose the beast. I can live with the BBJ if I have too but Id rather see them make it better. One network lets players opt in and go rid of the stupid 10% house take on it. This sounds like a perfect solution to me.

Actually, there was very little traffic even before they put the horrible Beast into action.

But yes, I do think it definitely stops them from growing as a site.

I think the BBJ is worse than the Beast. They are both horrible, but at least you have some odds to win the Beast if you put the time in. The BBJ is completely improbable and you pay the same horrible rake on it.

I would come back if they dropped the BBJ at lower stakes cash (50nl and below). The Beast should also be made more equitable across stakes. I wonder how many people who posted in this thread don't play on the site but would if they changed the rake scheme, the site doesn't have that much cash game traffic in terms of unique players to begin with because of the Beast.

Random fun Fact. I estimate if you 16 table on this site grinding for The Beast for 8 hours a day 7 days a week you have a 10-20% chance to get a piece of the BBJ.

Remove bbj and it's a shark tank, but still worth it..rake kills.

Are there four different table types at each stake, 1)BBJ Tables, 2)Beast Tables, 3)BBJ/Beast Tables, 4)Non Beast/Non BBJ Tables?

No there are only two different table types unless you count in HU, 6-max and full ring. WRG to your post there are only Beast and Non Beast tables for cash, no other variations. Beast / BBJ tables are one and the same, the contribution for both takes place at the same time / table.

Well, a lot of the fish have fled in horror at the ****ty BBJ/Beast because the games have become boring and nitty. If they removed the BBJ/Beast, or never did it in the first place, there would have been a lot more fish around, still.

During peak hours on a saturday there is 2 tables of nl25 HU non-bbj, one table of nl50 HU non bbj, and the rest is just a few ultra micro nl10 or below. For the rest of the entire network EVERY other cash game running is bbj. Even up through the highest limits there is not a single game running non bbj (although some regs sitting waiting for HU)

There is no room for growth beyond microstake players who want to move up, but do not want to compete in the rake race they know they can't win. I have contemplated continuing to keep moving up / paying more rake, but the incentive immediately evaporates when I know that even at peak times its hard to get 1 table.

Being able to opt-in / opt-out sounds pretty unique and awesome. Someone might shoot themselves if opted out and hitting a qualifying hand at a bbj table, but thats the risk for not being raked to death....

But there is plenty of action for all limits for anyone trying to move up.

It really doesnt matter b/c how the software is setup it takes effort to find the non BBJ tables. There is never pigeons on these.

Per the OP's picture is this the first "legal" poker game in history where you can win the pot solo and lose money? Two blinds both put in 25 cents and the final pot is 23 cents to the winner.
