Shane mentioned the other day here in the forum that their margins were too thin when they were initially giving out promotions that were way too generous directly after the acquisition of Cake Network. It was called Ronin I believe? Ton's of payouts at all levels of the rake chase.
As you know, they've reduced the # of payouts per level and their profit margins aren't as thin as they were prior. At the very least, this has to help and not hurt their bottom line (their cumulative rewards, especially to ROW players, was STILL great relative to the competition after Ronin type rewards were gone).
