Ultimate Bet unveiled their new poker loyalty program.

From the initial looks of things it sucks.

You can earn up to 5 times as many ultimate points, but you can only cash them in for a tenth of the value you that you could before. (.007 per point)

Not much else seems to have changed.

Oh and I definitely don't play there anyways due to the BBJ tables and shaddy management fwiw.

someone posted sometihng in MSNL about it being possible to get 9% interest on your account there.

9% interest on account is new and part of this program if you are an "ICON" member. (10,000 points/month)

So you can clear the first deposit bonus 5 times faster?

Points actually accumulate slower for tournament and SNG players than they did before. Ouch.

I'm confused by the new system. It used to be that you released $1 of your bonus for 10 Ultimate points, but now you need to get 20 ultimate points to release $1? They're screwing us right?

Yes now I get no bonus released playing NL10.

Before I at least always got a few cents even after only 10 hands.

AP and UB are so 1984.

it's rather funny they changed the bonus to release in $5 increments rather than any amount....they did that just to save some pennies when some degen deposits $200 and loses it all in about 10 hands but he would have earned some bonus

Everyone other than the highest status level clears their bonus at the lower rate than before.

Even then they clear at old 9 UB pts per $ instead of 10.

Terrible system replacing a worse system.

The only things not gay about this new promo is that supposedly you will occasionaly get free entrance into tourneys like the 200k guaranteed, free merchandise, and interest on your account.

does this mean that you get free entrance into the land events? that would be pretty sweet. Free entrance into qualifiers would be nice, but of course not as sweet.

oh and I start at the highest level, but i think they are screwing me out of about 400 bucks because I had about 6k ultimate points that I was going to convert at .075 cents per a point.

you could only convert pts-->cash on a weekly basis, so they didn't screw you out of $400+ unless you made those 6,000pts this week

This is very confusing ATM and I will have to see how things go. It certainly doesn't look great and could possibly be worse than before. I have RB and the bonuses come directly out of there so I'm not too worried about whatever they changed there, but I'm sure some of you do and it definitely looks like they will be ****** some players. If the clearing rates are the same(I have no idea if they are) some degens will go broke fast and not earn any bonus $$ as someone stated above and UB adds to their bottom line.


How did we earn ultimate points before? I was earning like 1000 points/week before and I have no idea how this equates to the new program. I'm most interested in the points for cash to see how the new system stacks up.

The old system was
1000 points*.05=$50

I wouldn't bank on any of that. First you need to be ICON, which you will need 60K points to achieve if you don't have that status now. That is a ton of play if you don't have that already and assuming they are talking about base points(like pokerstars VPP's) And then what....is it like a lottery of who gets what??? Sounds like a bunch of bs.

it should be noted that u might be able to squeeze more value out of your ultimate points by buying tourney packages.

Bonuswhores ran some calcs, can find them in their forums, and the bonus stayed the same or got a bit better at some levels.

Actually I'm looking at it now, and I'd say that's just not true. Except for the limit donks (which the game is moving away from). Almost all of the NL, SH or FR, are lower.

They've utterly shagged the points-to-cash thing, tenthing it, which is laughable.

What gets me is the hooha they made about this. Shame on me for expecting anything.

I just love modern marketing, were "improvement" is a euphemism for "make things worse".

While I can't find a raked hand definition on UB's site, they definitely seem to have switch to the contributed method. I was just 4-tabling .10/.25 PL O8 for maybe 40 minutes or so and came away with 8 UP's at the Contender level.

They switched to contributed when AP bought them, months ago.
