I used to be just like you guys, then I realized working hard for my $$ is alot better than putting my faith into an unregulated industry/QUOTE]
The fact that a market is regulated by the government vs. not regulated by the government does not make it better or even moral. Lets go back to the 20's when the US banned alcohol for whatever reason during the prohibition. Then a couple years later, the government saw the money that all the moonshiners and everyone around them was making. Then what do you know.....the government decides to make it legal and "regulate" the market. "regulate" is just another word for ownership and the government knows all too well about that. .
So I don't disagree with the governments attempt to fix a common problem, however I think there are alternative methods that could have been taken.
I cant sit in ring games of any currency. I get this prompt, ""We are sorry but, due to government regulations, playing real money games is not allowed in your area"
I'm getting the same message, can't sit at ring game tables, Im in New York state. I'm sitting at two tables now and I got the message when trying to sit at a third. I guess I'll just never leave the two I'm at. I just spent extra money to deposit using Western Union too. **** this.
I doubt they can either. I was responding to the dude laughing at America. I kind of agree with his sentiments about our country, but since Euro players money is going to be tied up too I wouldnt really be in a gloating mood.
It's just a shakedown from the US government. I'm ashamed of my country today.
remember the talk about the "government freeze" last week? well this was certainly one of their main agendas of getting millions if not billions. our government is so ****in dirty it makes me sick.
Just got this message when trying to register for a SNG: "We are sorry but due to government regulations playing in real money tournaments is not allowed in your area."
