Monday's Action: Tell Rep. Jeb Hensarling (R-TX) to Push the Debt Super Committee to Include Online Poker Legislation
As you may know, U.S. House and Senate leaders have appointed
twelve members of Congress to serve on the Joint Select Committee on Deficit Reduction. This debt "super committee" is charged with developing policies to reduce the U.S. deficit and then make specific recommendations to Congress which will be voted on. This is a great opportunity for us to make our voices heard.
Let's all go to committee member Rep. Jeb Hensarling's Facebook page today and and let him know that we want the super committee to take action on the online poker issue!
Simply take a moment to sign into your Facebook account, click the “Like” button on the page and then post your message asking him to protect our right to play online poker by supporting HR 2366! Here's the
Facebook post on which we should comment. Please "like" the other pro-poker posts there as well.
So far, the pro-poker post with the most "likes" has 32 "likes". Let's bump this to 100+. So, we need 68 more people who care about their rights to volunteer to take this simple action.

The names with an “x” in front of them are those who do not allow direct posting on their Facebook wall. No problem for us. Just post a comment in response to a post already on the page. PLEASE BE SENSITIVE about this though. If the post says the Congressperson is being treated for cancer, don’t bother them with poker. Tell them to get well soon. Be sensitive to what’s going on in their state, too – wildfires, tornadoes, hurricanes, flooding, etc. And PLEASE say please and thank you. Courtesy goes a long way.
Oh, and let’s all try to get the bill number correct. It’s H.R. 2366.
Let's all also remember to revisit these walls to like the pro-poker posts and comments made since your last visit. Thanks!
