Ok, looking for this on the lobby. Can't seem to find it. What's the structure?

It opens about 4 hours before start time to reduce the number of seats filled by people who don't show up. It is 1500 starting chips, 6 minute rounds, slightly flatter payouts than a normal tourney.

A freeroll with paid rebuys would be fun, the software isn't set for it, but I know there is a fairly hacky way to do it now, I'll think about it.

The current rebuy schedule is thin. A small one every midnight ET and a 10000 chip (10BTC, ~$120) guarantee on Tuesday at 10pm ET, that's actually in about 2 hours.

Actually I don't play much in the evenings. I am mostly play during the day. It's probably because I am looking for a nooner type longer structured tourney. I like the 10 am game.

I think putting maybe a weekly nooner free roll the intent would encourage getting some bitcoin virgin traffic to the site. If it's decent structure and a more solid prize pool, and maybe the :30 could be ditched for the off times and really do away with the :15 during the day and transfer that prize pool to a nooner free roll. It would be cool to add the rebuy option but some think it's a bad idea.

The reward for Wave 4 (5000 Krill) is still listed as TBA. At what point will it be announced?

In 1-2 weeks.

Though as of about a month ago there is a 2BTC freeroll every 140 hours for players with 5000 krill or more. If you have enough krill you will see a notice and registration link on your My Account page.

Just deposited and started playing today. I used bitcopia to purchase bitcoins and it was fast and easy. Games are definitely soft.

Are you running other flash programs in the same browser? Stopping that can help.

Chrome and FF are the best in general.

Firefox latest version.

Killing lots of other stuff I had been running seemed to help

The donkdown tourney last night was my first one played and I will say that is a good freeroll tourney. Well structured and the payouts are great. I can see why you can't run that everyday or the site would go broke.

Another idea, make a smooth tourney on Wednesdays. 1000 chips smooth level blinds. Make it a freeroll for .5BTC. Nothing really spectacular but really drum that up. I think it will give the freerollers an opportunity to play a different structured event that isn't playing on other online site.

another idea whitelextown: deposit.

rotf. You got me there.

Just wanting to confirm that my first cashout on seals was received in less than 12 hours.
11-29-2012 , 08:36 PM
Great to hear after heading over to BCP. Ha ha. The cash outs within a day. That was cash in hand right? That's faster than the confirmation of a wu transaction from Lock. Never playing Merge/Lock again. Satisfied with bitcoin Poker.

And yes I like the freeroll on the site. Wednesday night dondown freeroll is one of the best structure for a freeroll tournament.

The poker player community is already used to p-2-p transfers with all users evaluating risk for themselves on each personal transfer. There used to be an extra layer of risk, with the poker site randomly freezing the funds or requiring your to "play through" a certain amount before allowing a cashout. Bitcoin is a great solution to poker. With Merge shutting down p-2-p transfers and slow, shady payouts such as Nicaraguan Western Union transfers, BTC looks more and more attractive.

This actually sounds like a really novel idea and I like the fact that BTC is like the stock market - the value can fluctuate depending on the volume and what people think it's worth. Pretty awesome concept imo - I cannot wait to buy some BTCs of my own and start playing on SWC. It would be awesome to own a currency that is not affected by fiscal policy and the FED as much as USD.

no chance the DOJ will "freeze" the Bitcoin currency anytime soon. They can go after processors, as a matter of fact, don't you think the DOJ is on the heals of that JBLService that can be shut down at any second?

The DOJ doesn't have the resources to stop the BTC currency. I have stopped my pokering on sites such as Lock/Merge. At SWC, we don't complain about anything really but life (which is normal) but we don't complain about our poker withdrawals/transfers.

It is a breath of freash air. BTC rules!!! for US Poker. It's easy to buy in at SWC. A bank account, cash, GDMP, PayPal (urgh...But we can do it), Amazon card. Whatever you have currency on. I was wondering if a Starbucks Card would work. Well I would consider purchasing Starbucks with my bitcoin (it's just a matter of time).

If Infiniti converts BTC to US Dollars upon deposit they have grossly missed the mark and SWC will continue to be the only pure BTC game in town.
SWC isn't the only bitcoin poker room.

You have ~ pmpoker ~ where you play with bitcoins.

Not much action, but freerolls every second hour. I like the software better than SWC.

(And I love bitcoin )

i played there yesterday in the freeroll. If there were more people playing there, that would be better. I liked that it was a software install rather than a flash site. I don't necessarily shop for the best software out there but for action.

If Infinity poker has action, I will play there too. For now, SWC is where the bitcoin poker players play. Software is secondary, action is primary. I like playing poker and I don't have to wait for action on SWC.

I may try it out again though.

maybe the DOJ does not, but many governments could come together to try and stop it if they feel it is a threat.

I don't think any government likes the fact that you can use this currency to go online and anonymously buy machine guns and kilos of cocaine
