Right, it's not Cuomo. Lev Dassin is the acting US Attorney for the Southern District of New York, but that office has been persecuting online gambling for a long time.

Stars is still saying you'll get it within their 10 day timeframe, although they've said that in the past and then had problems. They definitely seem to be coming slower than usual

I figured Instant eChecks was offshore. Otherwise how could they continue after Neteller and ePassporte left the business? (Didn't some of the Neteller top brass figure they could change planes in the US with impunity? Guess again people.)

Any time a public official wanted to earn points with some of their constituents *BAM!* no more eChecks.

It seems to me that Pokerstars itself is resting its US business on a pretty weak link. Other sites have more deposit options to use.

What kind of political base favors Nevada gaming, Indian gaming, state lotteries, online sports betting and hates online poker? Logically, how do you allow PowerBall and block Party Poker? Leave the games with the worst odds open and stop the others?

I got this letter from stars today. Can anyone help me translate

Dear xxxx

We have been informed that the following deposit could not be processed:

Reference Number : 249637734
Amount: $50.00
Date: 2009/06/01
Reason: BANK PROBLEMS

These funds were credited to your PokerStars account when you made your deposit request however due to a processing problem the transaction was never sent to your bank. As we didn't receive funds for this deposit, the amount of your unprocessed deposit has been deducted from your PokerStars account balance.

Please note that future eCheck deposits will not be affected by this return. Your eCheck deposits will continue to be credited to your PokerStars account balance as they did prior to receiving this return notification.

* If your PokerStars balance is less than $0.00:

If your current balance is less than $0.00, this means that you did not have sufficient funds available in your PokerStars account to repay the amount of your unprocessed deposit. All you have to do to complete repayment is make a deposit for the total amount owing. Your next deposit will automatically be applied toward your negative balance.

You may use any of the deposit options in the PokerStars Cashier to repay any funds still owing, including the eCheck option.

Transfers received from other players will also be applied towards any negative balance you have as well.

* Automatic re-presentment of your transaction to your bank if your balance is less than $0.00:

Since now you have a negative balance, you have to make a deposit through the Cashier or receive a transfer to bring your balance into a positive by 2009/06/13.

If this is not done, we will automatically re-present the total amount of your deposit to your bank. Please make sure there are enough funds in your bank account to ensure that the re-submitted charge will be successful.

The re-submitted charge can take up to 5 business days to be debited from your bank account.

If the funds are not available in your bank account to honor the re-submitted charge, we will re-submit this charge once more on approximately the first or the 15th of the month (whichever is sooner).

We apologize for the inconveniences this may have caused you.

If you have any questions, please email us at "PokerStars Support" <support@pokerstars.com>

Regards,

PokerStars Payments Department

You deposited and they put the money in your account before they realized their payment processor was down. Since they don't have any way of completing the transaction now (i.e., getting the money from your bank account), they basically canceled the deposit and took the money back out of your Stars account. Pretty simple.

Edit: But if you gambooled the money away and you don't repay it with another deposit, they're going to try later to get the money from your bank account.

so to pose the question again, has anyone gotten paid via E-checks? from 5/31-6/1? Still waiting from 6/1 here, obv.

Worst part is, my credit cards do not work on Stars, they sent me an email telling me to use pre-paid credit cards. Bah with that. My cards work fine on Absolute and Cake, guess that's who's getting my business from now on.

Unless the e check bounces (according to them it won't) you shouldn't have any problems with account closure. That OP's was an isolated case.

Also once you cashout request has been processed they cannot cancel it.

I sent this exact email yesterday and they responded with a canned email. Saying something like "were checking with our processors to determine the status of processed cash outs. we will email you when we know"

I posted in another thread that i thought stars handled this situation much worse then tilt did. Tilt was able to insta - credit accounts for all affected cashouts.

I also asked if it was possible to cancel the e check, and they said they had no way of cancelling an already processed e check.

fyi.

Something everyone can do to help speed up the process I am sure, is to not make small withdrawals if u can. Like I read some ppl are requesting 25 bucks 3 times a week or something...this will really delay the process. I'm not saying everyone should save up for a 1k withdrawal, but do u really need 50 bucks that bad right now?

Ok, here's my question. I don't think someone has posted a situation like this yet:

I deposited $200 via e-check on FTP on 5/29. The money has yet to be taken from my bank account. After reading this thread, and seeing that e-checks are disabled, I imagine this is the reason why. My question is: When is FTP going to take this money from my account? I really hate to forget about this like a month down the road and withdraw from my account, and FTP all of the sudden decide it's time to take the deposit.

Any thoughts?
