I'm a Canadian and I noticed echecks went away as a withdrawal option about a month ago. I used their Direct Bank Transfer a few times (which is effectively the same as an echeck) but the wait time was pretty inconsistent for all 3 which sucks. FWIW if you're cashing out over $1k a courriered check is pretty much the nuts.

there was some issue where if you hadn't made a deposit within the past 6 months (something like that) echecks were disabled until you deposited again.

My guess (and this is ONLY a guess based on past events) is that the processor that they were using for the longest time went down.

Edit: And it's probably the same one that Tilt uses.

Are checks over 1k fast nowadays? I did one over 1k a while back and it arrived after a week which is not that fast. Do you have to ask for Stars to use a courier?

what makes you so sure luckysob? it wouldn't suprise me at all if we weren't able to play online next year without going through ridiculous measures. just because that 1 guy was trolling doesn't mean it isn't a serious issue. i feel us online players need to be doing a lot more in order for us to be able to continue playing

I'm not sure of what's to come, but I'm sure the current mention of it is just BS. Who knows where things are going. I for one write my AZ senators and the Fed govt personal hand written letters expressing my views and also do the form letters through the PPA @ http://pokerplayersalliance.org/

Point being, PS has not announced they are leaving, and it has nothing to do with the current processor issue.

No matter how bad our/your opinion of online poker companies is, the large ones (ie Pstars, FTP) would not offer you an alternative way to deposit if they are leaving the market. They would NOT try and run away with anyone's money. So leaving US market talk = ummmmm duuuuuh, droooool

Agreed. But if you just deposited your check this morning and dropped checks in the mail to pay all of your bills for the month THEN find this thread.......somehow the issue seems like a big deal. All will be fine in the end.

I just realized it's the same guy in two different threads saying Stars is leaving the US market. $royal$flush$ please stop doing that if you are trolling. If you know something we don't know, state your source.

No problem man, I think we're all just worried about this whole E-checks mess.

Anytime there is glitch, we think the world is ending. We are dealing with the computers here, a payment processor could be having just technical issues. It is unrealistic to think they can run 24/365 without occasional problems.

If you are scared about losing online poker, this is a good time to contact your congress person.

The reaction in this thread is unreal. E-checks have had problems and been temporarily unavailable before. Many, many times.

Processor issues happen once in a while. The sky is not falling yet.

Bad news: Our withdrawals are in limbo, mostly new and some regular players might be turned away by processor problems.

Good news: This has happened before and everything turned out fine. I'm not sure there is a relationship but our processor options have increased and the time to receive funds has decreased since Obama has been elected. In the last few moths checks and echecks have been faster than ever since UIGEA. This might be a minor glitch in the processor. We might get a cash bonus if the echeck takes longer than 10 days.

Greetings,

I cashed out all of my money a few weeks ago (was feeling disgruntled with some recent business decisions Pstars made). Now that I'm willing to redeposit, the E-check processors have crashed. I could use WU or buy gift cards, but it's not worth the juice and the hassle. E-checks are one of the reasons I play at Pstars.

Does anybody know if the system is still backed up. BTW, I've seen this happen several times in the past. I would deposit funds and have to wait between two and twelve hours before I could access them. And once you make the deposit, you can't reverse it!

Only time will tell but the longest delay was over three weeks for me . It took that long once and everybody got a bonus. I had another delay that was 12 days or something. You should look through the old Stars EChecks thread lots of people posted their delay times.

I may be mistaken but I think he was asking how long until you can deposit.
