Yeah I think people are overestimating how fast this has sped up games or something. For me, I mostly just like that I don't have to sweat all-ins for as long, it takes away a LOT of the stress of sngs for me. Watching showdowns is the worst part of the game for me, so I love this.

Great update, Stars was way too slow and one of the complaints I had about the software. Very happy to see a speed increase.

For people who only play a couple tables they are going to love the change. I Completely disagree that it will be too fast for the fish.

u dont have less time for each decision, you click a button and move on to the next decision, you cant watch every allin if you're 20 tabling anyways, actually since the cards come out faster you probably almost can now lol....

i dont know how else to explain it, i 15-20table regularly, if anything my sets have gone smoother since the change...

Low stakes 18-mans now often get to final at 100/200 and sometimes even 75/150 blinds whereas previously it was rare for this to happen before 200/400. Not sure how much of an affect this has on their bottom line, if any.

Pokerstars has several Support sections. E-mailing the wrong one may cause a wrong department to answer. Even though they usually forward it to the right people, sometimes e-mails do get lost or answered by wrong people.

When sending the message through the Pokerstars Client, it specifically asks you to double-check your category so it goes to the right support section for faster replies and whatnot.
I don't think it's anything to overly trouble your mind, if one out of dozens or hundreds of support people is not completely up to the task.

As for a ulterior motive? Who knows. Definitely Pokerstars is under more pressure. In the Past they could afford to be a little bit more lazy with their changes as income was great, playerpools were huge and simply put - the pressure on them was minimal. Sure they had FT to contend with - but they did great the way they did.

Now after BF and FT being shut down PS knows they have to put things into high gear. Not only to keep their existing playerbase happy, but to also lure the majority of FT players to PS as-well.
And now is the perfect time to close the cap between some things that made people love FT more. Software changes, tourney structures and whatnot.

I think it's as simple as that. Before they could afford to do things more their way. Now there is more pressure.

My general comment is what pokerstars doing to compete with Parties MTT rake structure (or lack thereof)?

About time. I still can't wait for FTP to come back and leave Stars' software behind but it's an improvement at least. Now please force everyone to show their holecards when all the money goes in instead of waiting until after the river.

+5000000

And it always seems to be spoilsport shortstackers who do this. There's no reason to hide all-in hole cards - it's just mean.

No **** sherlock. Companies have business plans and strategies that they keep secret from their competitors. This is not unusual - this is a natural and necessary part of business. Poker sites are no different. When was the last time you complained about Apple, BMW, or any other company, releasing a new product or feature without exposing the detail of their underlying business strategy?

The agenda for a poker site is quite obvious: maximise profit. Oh look, that's just the same as any other business! Wow who expected that? Devious aren't they, these businesses?

Grow up.

hi!

When you do have the ability to customize the font size changes, at 1600 * 900 my laptop 17'3 play 6 tables HeadsUp cash is impossible because you can break your eyes. Do so with a decrease in the size of fonts, tables, rates, and the stack can be as large and readable.

[I'm in the US so this is based on observations of a 10c 360 Turbo]

As a horribly results oriented recreational player, I dont like the the speeded-up dealing of all-in hands. The cards now come too fast for me to figure out straight and flush possibilities, and (especially when 3 or more are all-in) its hard for me to see who's ahead on each street. The fun of sweating the turn and river has been severely diminished, imo.

Great stuff now only if they can also sort out the late reg times, make it similar to the FTP one, late open till actual duration of the tourney running NOT including breaks

You'll have a hard time convincing me that rec and casuals enjoy watching fast all ins and not knowing what to sweat for because it's all over so quick. You've speeded the dealing up which gives you quicker games, more games, more money while pleasing the multitabling robotic grinders who are never going to complain about new features like this.

Not that Stars has ever valued it's rec players, rewards are aimed towards the 16 hours a day piss bottle users sucking every last drop out of their time banks so I shouldn't be surprised.

Can you explain why a regular speed husng lasting 15-25 minutes needs to save a few seconds on the odd all in? I've looked at the dealing speed and see no difference between the hyper heads up games and the regulars.

Including breaks are great...
If it says one hour it should be the full hour.

I hate how micro stakes SNGs are now. Going to end game way too fast.

I asked some friends that are recreational players, and they all said that all-ins go way too fast now and they have no time to see which outs they or others need, especially in multi-way all-ins.
I honestly think recreational players don't like the changes. If they stay away from PS in the future, or only play SnGs which don't have the super-speed all-ins, I don't know. But It makes me a sad panda thinking they could.
