Stars, wow. I'm amazed you would actually increase the rake on so many sngs. Have you not been paying attention to anything happening in the current climate or what any of your players have been telling you?

It ends up being an increase for the vast majority of your players. How you can even attempt to sell this as an overall rake decrease is beyond me. Stretch the truth much? This is all really really strange. I cant even play there anymore but it is just so disappointing to see such a bold step taken like this. So sad to see this happening there. Charging 10-18% on some of your lower sng's like that is embarrassing. I honestly can't figure out what on earth you guys are thinking. And it sure seems like you do not have the customers' interested in mind at all. What's funny is that I dont think you have your own best interests in mind either. So so strange.

What an awful way to thank the non-US players who stuck with Stars after Black Friday despite fears that their money could vanish.

I'm sure Pokerstars will come to the conclusion that this is not the way to go and lower the rake for these lower stakes sngs. They just cannot be _that_ stupid.

If merge start offering 45-180 turbos I'll leave stars in a heartbeat.

I doubt it. This reminds me of a couple years ago when Stars decided to crush all the limit games.

Even the apparent decreases are not really. Rake for HU games has also gone up in real terms, and not just by a little. I used to grind 55+2.50 (4.5% rake) turbos which are now 50+2.02s (4%). They previously had 5 min blinds and now have 3 min blinds. That is a 40% reduction in play time with only a 12% reduction in rake. That is despite claiming this in their FAQ:

Look at the blind structure not just the level time.

So after 15 minutes = 50/100
Now: 3 mins 10/20, 3 mins 15/30, 3 mins 20/40, 3 mins 25/50, 3 mins 30/60, 3 mins 40/80
So after 18 minutes = 50/100
