might be worth PM'ing Steve about.....alot of good ideas in this thread and a few others, but if they're not being read then we're not gonna see results.
If such a thread is created in the proper forum with mod support, we will post there. Picking the right forum is a bit of a challenge, as is deciding whether or not to separate STT, MTT, and HU SnGs. We have opened discussions with a mod on those topics.

Separate please. These games are all very different. While their is some mix in the player pool, for the most part the regs for each are different.

If we organize a list of questions before the stars reps negotiate on our behalf, will stars answer a comprehensive list of questions?

I'm quite concerned that you guys are going to answer only the questions you want, and cherry pick suggestions based on your desires. We got boned imo with the last batch of sng changes based on PS selectively listening to feedback. (Exactly what happened with the January cash changes too imo.)

We listened to your feedback and agree there needs to be another level instead of $15+1, so we replaced it with $10+1.

I think that thread would be a phenomenal idea. Probably shouldn't lump MTT and 1-table SNGs, not sure where many of the MTT SNGs should fall as the player pool overlaps both ways.

I would think 18-mans at least would be in the SNG thread as they're more in the SNG player pool?

imo I think it should be seperated 3 ways.

Heads up

6m - 18m

more than 18m

Bleh 18m and 6m are not really alike much. They have more in common with 45m than 6m...

6-9m thread.

18/45m thread and put 180m in with MTT.

If we're going to have a clean start on a Stars SNG discussion thread then I'd suggest that the Zoo is still the place to do it, because there isn't really anywhere else suitable.

I'd also suggest that a single thread would be sufficient, otherwise

1) it risks cluttering the forum even more than it already is
2) people will inevitably still post about the wrong format in the wrong thread
3) it may make some people consider playing other games if they read about the suggestions.

TT

So can u create that thread or? At least a single thread seems better than nothing.

So that thread would contain ideas from anything between HU to 180man right?

I think we're going to end up with threads for each of the three areas in the appropriate forums for those areas. We'll end up with much more focused discussion that way, and also the cash game and scheduled tournament players who frequent the Zoo won't have to be bothered with the thread. We're contacting another mod to discuss as we haven't heard back from the original contacted mod.

So we will have a thread in each forum of these:

Heads Up SNG
STT Strategy
MTTSNG

Sounds cool to me.

Those sound like the right forums to me. If players start threads in those forums, we will attend to them appropriately. We do want to get mod approval first which we are requesting now.

The primary representative in these threads will be 'PS Walmsley', the Sit&Go Tournaments manager. I'll pop in from time to time as well.

ok we're moving.

please could you ask the representative (ps walmsley) to post in the threads to show support and outlining what his contribution will be towards them and how much of an impact our suggestions / concern will be to the pokerstars management.

thanks for getting things moving in this regard, it is most appreciated.

kind regards

We'll likely wait until we have the green light from mods before posting regularly in the threads.

I can answer those questions for you now. We'll monitor the threads regularly, post to answer questions, and will consider all suggestions. There will be continue to be multiple factors considered when making decisions about possible changes. Player feedback and suggestions will remain 1 such factor, and an important one.

while playing today i noticed that the regular speed sit n go games between 30 and 60 dollars were no longer spawning. i immediately thought something was wrong on pokerstars end and quit playing for the day. upon further inspection i realized that pokerstars is now limiting the number of games being shown in the lobby at this level. i can understand how allowing infinite games to spawn could be considered clutter but only limiting the games to one at these levels is very unfair. the same case can even be made for games over 100 dollars. at times the games fill rather quickly but limiting them to one may make them harder to find and fill much slower. at the very least they should equal the number of allowed turbo games which i believe is now 4. anything less would be unfair and would cause many regs to abandon playing here at all. regs start games; random people are not going to register for sngs and tournaments if no one is already registered. i ask that pokerstars please look into this and if the number of allowed sngs has to have a limit i would hope that the turbo and regular speed games were at least capped at an equal and fair number.

Think it would be better if only Stars employees created official threads. New players and experienced can find the name of the OP and see stars employee right away.

Now, you have to select each stars employee profile and check their posts for news that you might miss and they are all over the forum sometimes.

Would make more sense for Stars and forum readers.

Stars should have their own sponsored Sub-Forum in Internet Poker - just like RPM Poker, Lock Poker, Carbon Poker & PDC Poker, High Pulse Poker and iPokerVIP - problem solved ...
