I'm starting up a home game with some friends (about 10-20 in the group). You're all welcome to join. We'll be playing at 8pm central time. One main tourney (usually NL with some limit and omaha mixed in) and some cash tables on the side. Fun games and good company

I am interested in joining an existing NL home game. How does this work for US based players, like myself?

U.S. Players are welcome. You just follow the directions to sign up, and register for the tournaments that you want to play in. All chips are "play money," so no real money changes hands. Depending on the level of interest, though, we may set up Paypal in order to make the tourney league a bit more interesting.

We had our first game on Sunday, and it was a fun time.

A few buddies and I play free poker on Stars. We live in NY. We then send each other the buyin through paypal. Is this illegal? We collect no vig, just a few friends playing poker for $30.

Hi guys my home game is ID 910615 Invite 12345678. I'm looking to make new friends in deepstacked poker. Fun levels

I'm having a fun charity event this sunday. Entry is by donation (<=1$), for 100 players max. Prizepool pays out in bitcoin (at current exchange rate to be determined before the tourney begins) in exchange for your contribution to the cause = to the total donations received.

So the payouts will be matched to the donations $ per bitcoin at the current exhange up to $100 max.

Its my first one so I just wanna keep it small, and if players need refunds I'll be happy to do it. If I'm not trustworthy enough we can find someone else.

I don't expect it to fill up, but it will be 100 players max (prob less obv) and run on sunday @ 1pm (we can vote on a time if its not optimal).

First 100 players there get first dibs, please don't send donations until you are requested too.

If there were a better way to manage home games, how receptive would everyone be to that?

Imagine a website dedicated to homegames...both with and without administrators. And in addition to the traditional club format, there are "pick-up games" of sorts, where administrators can setup open tables ready to go.

The site would allow administrators and players to exchange email addresses, which could then be used to arrange for lines of credit, venmo exchanges, etc. Similar to ebay, players and admins alike would be assigned ratings to help allow for self policing.

The administrators would pay the site a small fee per game (or perhaps per hour of play), but players always play for free (at least from the website's perspective). In exchange for any fees paid, the site would allow administrators to control every aspect of play: rake percentage, game played, rate of play, decision timeouts, etc. Also, any administrator could theoretically run multiple tables simultaneously, with the ability for any players that have established an "account" with them to simply sit down and play.

In essence, this site would allow for the benefits of old-style online poker while giving end users the ability to "be the house". Multi-tabling, tournaments, etc...you name it. Unlike Poker Stars, admin games would NOT allow multiple connections from the same ip, and all methods of collusion detection would be in full force.

Thoughts?
