Can anyone play Zoom yet? Software update got me excited this morning but no joy

I have to agree and this is coming from someone who never really enjoyed playing Hold'Em online. What's more - I always felt completely disinterested in play money games. With ZOOM - wasted like 5 hours of my life already

This is so true. When Rush came out I couldn't even 8 table for more than a few minutes before I started timing out. With Rush it took me only a few days to be able to 4 table and get in double or more hands per hour.

I think a larger percentage of players at Stars will move to Zoom than did at FTP. There are more players trying to achieve various bonus levels as a high percentage of those will at the very least try Zoom or use it when they've fallen behind in their chase.

Should still be enough players for regular tables to run though.

In the end Zoom is the real reason why Stars moved to WC rake. Just wouldn't work with the old system.

Since I'm boycotting Stars though I'll sit this one out.

Zoom poker is not as fast as rush poker used to be ?. I tested it on the site and I had the feeling it's not going as fast as rush poker was. Maybe a delay of 1 second while switching of table compared to FTP. Someone else had the same perception ?

Really it will be as fast. I imagine on the test client you have a very small player pool. There is always going to be a delay because the hand wont start until all the seats are filled. My guess it will be close to the same once you got a regular player pool.

Another upside is you can keep less money on the site.

16 tables of 100nl require $1,600 just to sit down. Same volume with Zoom will only require $400 to take your seats.

Until it starts up on the main client and we can find out hands per hour it will be difficult to tell. When I first played it I thought it was slower but the player pool is tiny on the test client.

They still need to fix the sit out problem though, I will be much happier knowing I can watch a hand finish off.

Not really. Sure it will be smaller amount you need to keep there however the swing will be bigger (cause you can play like 5k+ hands/day easily) so daily swings of 15-20 BI weren't that rare (deep play plus smaller edges overall)
Instead of keeping like 40BI you can easily go with like 25 but it isn't like 30-10. You still need to keep significant amount of money in your pokerstars account.

I played on Full Tilt only a couple of weeks before they closed down. Does anybody of you know what Rush did to the regular small stakes Holdem Tables? Did all the Regulars move to Rush to increase their volume and left the fish alone at the old tables? Did all fish and most regs switch to rush because the game was amazing? Or was the reg/fish ratio the same for rush and "old" poker?

I think its entertaining, you can put more hands in etc, but I dont think its good for the game overall.

Im looking forward to playing as soon as it comes out, I found it hard to grind the cash tables at FT when I knew Rush Poker was there and its so easy just to get two tables up and play a ton more hands without getting bored. It probably will be better for me as I focus when Iv got stuff going on and your always looking at the screen in Rush.

I do think vast majority of the fish will move over to Rush as its better for them.

Would be great PR to release zoom on leap year day.

This is all right on. I did a lot of multi-tabling on stars (12 at a time) and played the same stakes on Full Tilt's Rush Poker (4 Rush tables) and played more hands per hour on Rush and it was much more relaxing and less timing out / missed hands. Looking forward to Zoom sessions soon!
