Will Stars keep the hand histories ? Can i ask them back ?
Yes, you can. Just email them asking the hands from the day Zoom started.

EDIT: stars saves all the hands no matter if you fast fold as far as I know. Am I correct here?

Yes. I was playing a bit at work and they emailed me the hand history when I requested it.

I am not quite sure, but seems so!
The rake is calculated the same per hand, but the rake you effectively pay is higher per hand. Every single training site in the world discussed why this is when Rush poker came out.

If everyone else at your table was in a previous hand you will always get the big blind when you sit back in. In Rush I think they randomized it between everyone who was eligible but I think in Zoom, based on observation, players who just sit in are considered differently than players who haven't paid in 6 or 9 hands. In any case I doubt it's a bug as much as a design choice.

If this is a design choice then it's totally unfair and should be fixed. While I played without ratholing this didn't happen. When you rathole looks like you get less hands in utg.

UTG < HJ < CO < rest

And that would explain why ratholing 50bb was not very confortable to play with. I'm missing hands in utg, hj and co. I always waited for the big blind to sit out so it's not the problem.

Makes sense to be getting more often the small blind than the other positions. If you notice everytime you join to the pool the first hand you play is the big blind and the second is the small blind => more hands in the small blind.
What I can't understand is why I'm getting less times utg, hj and co.

Well. I think I found the explanation to this. Gonna explain it showing 1 example.

First hand. I'm the bb with AA and I double up => sit out next bb box clicked in order to rathole as soon as possible.

Second hand. The sb will be played here.

Third hand. The buttom will be played here.

Notice there is no exception to this. Without exception, when you join to the pool you will always play the first hand in big blind, the second in the small blind and the third in the buttom.

Hand #4. It's assigned randomly => I can miss co,hj and utg. =/

I guess ratholers are being punished by itself. The system makes their life harder like this is now

So the case is not the system is unfair. It's a hole in the ratholing strategy while playing zoom.

I misunderstood your original post. My explanation was based on sitting out immediately and NOT waiting for the big blind.

Probably when ZOOM is out of beta testing, they talked about this in the latest Pokercast as well.

Yeah, I always waited for the next bb to sit out in order to get my extra hands but it seems like ratholers are being punished no matter what they do. I guess it's fair as it is. Ratholers are paying the cost of doing this. While I ratholed I had a bad feeling and that was it. Anyway I think it's still profitable. Probably the maximum you can get doing this if you're an hyper master genius like me is 1BB/100. That is my guess.

If you sitout next BB when you rathole you are not being forced to pay extra blinds. The seating is random outside of BB so no bug, no design flaws, its variance, it will even out in the long run.

How about Zoom Regs thread to discuss strategies, hand analysis, finding leads with decent samples etc?

This doesn't sound like any regs thread I've ever read.

Sounds like a good idea.

There used to be one for Rush but I haven't seen a Zoom one yet.

"Zoom is great. Everyone play on PokerStars"

There was talk about how Stars were converned about liquidity at various levels and so weren't rolling out lots of stakes at once (CAP was mentioned specifically as something they hadn't rolled out for this reason).

MTTs might come but its not imminent. Can't remember the exact wording that was used but it was something along the line of "not in the next few weeks".

No talk of when 1/2 + 2/4 will be out? I'm getting really impatient.

am I the only one who doubt the sample size here?

Sit out next BB and then rathole, unfortunately no punishment imo...

You aren't understanding the point and I'm not going to explain you it for a second time.

if you "sit out next bb", you are effectively skipping a bb.

however, each time you join a zoom table, you are put in bb. so it's the same.

look in your hem/pt at positional stats and you'll see that the # of hands at each position is fairly evenly distributed.

Read my post carefully and think a while. I'm just lazy to explain it again.
