hey fellas

i requested pokerstars to close my account and withdraw my money as im not playing poker for more than 10years already and im in need of my money to pay my bills now. they then froze my account and it seems like they dont want to pay out my money. we are talking about around 40000$.
they always just send some automated email that the case is being processed and that they will notify me when the security procedure is done.
it has been 3 months and numerous emails and documents already and i still dont have my money.
ive sent all the required documents and details they needed like bank statement with name iban bic no older than 3months, proof of origin of funds which was from another pokerplatform and through neteller, id and whatsoever.
its my money and i wont and cant play poker anymore. 'As per your request, we have permanently closed your account. In accordance with our Responsible Gaming policy, it will not be reopened under any circumstances.' so whats left to investigate? never cheated colluded or had another account. in fact barely played at pokerstars.

i have seen a lot of reviews online about this being normal and they are ripping player off their money. ridiculous! soooo many people saying the same:

i also filed a case at mga.org already but read somewhere that they wont do anything unless the platform itself sends the customer to them.

what should i do? posting and pin them in twitter and reddit next? can i get a lawyer and sue them? go talk to the news? its almost 40k$. i am german and live in germany.

Based on the other thread it looks like you deposited all that money from neteller and then u did not play with it. You did hope that years later u can cash it out directly from stars and avoid the high fees of neteller. Stars is probably not happy with this, it looks like money laundering to them.

By the way, fees on neteller are now 4.4 percent for currrency conversion and 4.4 percent for withdrawals. Makes a total of 8.8 percent. Thats on the lowest account status. I tried to withdraw close to 3k sone weeks ago abd they wanted almost 300 dollars in fees.

if someone deposits such an amount, does not play a lot and then wants to withdraws, they must ask question I guess.
Money laundering is also very serious for them, if PS would ever fail to identify it, they would instantly lose their lisence in that country. I think being the base-hub for money laundering is the nightmare scenario for every poker site.

Would be interesting to know if people that build their bankroll their through playing poker without depositing that much, also have problems withdrawing the money...
