Well I guess I won't be playing much next year.

I was planning in putting in 10x my usual volume next year but I'm not going to stand for a site that openly money grabs and has no consideration for the state of the games.

I stayed loyal at pokerstars because I thought they were different from all other poker sites, I guess I was wrong.

Seems (very)good at first glance. But I have to ask. Is this for real?
Fixed Limit $0,02/0,04 - Cap = $0.01?
Did I get it right?

Super-happy about this and any player who plays poker as opposed to nit farming vpps should be too. This worked out well for me personally when FTP made these changes and will on Stars too.

It isn't. It's already hard for the micros to get out of Bronze Star. With these changes, it will become impossible.

"Because the new method awards VPPs based on how much you individually contribute to raked ring game pots, the impact will be different for all players. Some players will earn more VPPs and some will earn less, but the total number of VPPs PokerStars awards per hand will not change."

SO it will be possible to earn up to 9vpp's per hand at full ring?
if you pay $1.50 in rake

Pokerstars thought of a way to make up for the millions the US gov't took

Yes. I don't play FL, but it's a good think for those guys there.

Any player who plays micros, that for sure. 6max guys, especially in 1/2, 2/4cap, 1/2 standard and 1/2, 2/4plo were just royally screwed with double rake increase (WC is one, cap increase is second, it was 2$ with 5players which happened quite often, now it's 3$).
I mean, they could at least introduce 4max games :-)

But yeah, playable micros are important, those players were killed before and I am happy for them that the game will probably be playable now.

Why is it that FR players are awarded more VPP's for the same amounts in rake paid as SNG players?

6x multiplier please...

Very disappointing to see there's no positive changes to the VIP Program for SNG players whatsoever, especially considering all the terrible changes to SNG structures and rake that happened earlier in the year, and scrapping of multiple medium and high-buyin MTTSNGS...

I wish they introduced that since 4max is so much fun, but since it would be an exploit of their rake caps etc there is no way they introduce it now

if I'm not mistaken, the rake cap for 5-handed NL/PL games is currently $2. Now it's going to $3?

F'ed twice I guess.

So because I don't play >30vpip at FR I'm a nit farming vpps?

cos u know if I play anything less than that I'm losing money with the changes and all.

While each player is different, overall the weighted contributed method will reward players with lower VIP statuses more and players with higher VIP statuses less. In summary this change will make the distribution of VIP Club benefits more balanced, less top heavy toward Supernova+ VIPs.

JUST WHAT EVERYONE WANTED THANKS A LOT STEVE...

If pokerstars thinks the grinders are just gonna let this go then they are so wrong. If we've been screwed hard bring on mass sit outs

Steve, I fixed your post for you. I have removed the deceptive bias intended to fool the casual reader/player who wouldn't know any better.
