This, Short stacks can still shove over a full stacks late position opens because the full stack can't call.

And the full stack player who sits down with a fish instead of having the opportunity to win 100BB he can win 50BB if the fish sits down at a 20-50BB table.

WTF? this changes nothing and it looks like things got a lot worse. I'd rather have the old system then this new one. At least with the "old way" I had an opportunity to win 100BB instead of limiting it to 50BB

so where are all these fish that like to buy in for 20-40bb? Most of the droolers I see are somewhere between 50-80.

I would love to be a fly on the wall at the stars data center and see the ratio of 20 or 40bb fish to 20bb pro 16+ tablers.

oh this definitely changes something... the shorties have their backs against the wall here now, its either 20-50bb at Stars or euro McDonalds. Not like with FT where they can migrate.

this, is the ****ty part -- 40-100 bb, with default buy-in of 80bb -- while I don't really buy the myth of vast numbers of 20-40bb fish I do believe that some fish would rather buy in at 50 then 80bb. I think Stars went full ****** on this one and will drive some fish into the shorties arms.

The point is that when everyone's relatively short, it's no longer profitable to open super-wide in position, flat small PPs and mid SCs, etc. so the whole SSS approach of shoving over light openers and callers starts to fall apart, and they gradually fade away.

Meanwhile, as a pro you play a more ABC game and stack people for 40-50 BBs w TPTK etc. who wouldn't have paid off 100BB anyway, and if an SSSer shoves at some point, you are much more likely to have a hand that can look him up.

Because 35-100 is marked as normal with no labels at all and the short ones are marked "short".

i am not happy with this, full tilt did it much better. i agree with the short - normal - deep labels. also default bi's seem too high and might scare fish who just click the def button when they realise it's more than they want to risk.
