I guess I meant best way to maximize profit off of the bonus. Heads up tables give you a better chance of winning the hand, and winning it is worth 2.5x more. Shortstack just a bunch of medium stakes heads-up tables or something along those lines.

Have any of the milestone hands hit a heads up table yet?

Not to my knowledge. I was wondering the same thing... there is mixed messages about whether they are eligible.

Would the best way to maximize your chances of hitting a milestone hand be to 24-table "fast" tables of 2NL TH 6M CG? More tables and "fast" tables help and if you play 2NL you don't lose too much when you 24-table poorly and also go all-in on milestone hands? Any tips? Thanks, Yojimgari

If you hadn't been sat out the timing on your table getting dealt its next hand would be different cause of the time it would have taken you to fold or act on previous hands. Therefore it would have been dealt on another table so really you getting sat out didn't matter.

Something like this. The key is not to be sat out on any hands, and not to overlook milestones, so play super-nitty so you can keep up. I imagine some players will just open shove QQ+ or whatever and fold everything else.

Open shove milestone hands of course.

(Although I'm not sure exactly what "TH" and "CG" mean.)

I disagree with the bold. I think the best play is to always minraise since it increases the chance of opponent misclicks.

Texas hold 'em and cash game. Yojimgari is always very, very specific with exactly what he's playing.

This is wrong. You shove because there are sometimes people who don't know what's going on.

Guys - Specifically open-folding just for trying to hit the milestone hands is a mostly lousy way of going about it. There isn't much EV in this promotion in the first place because the odds are so long and even getting the hands in twice as fast doesn't increase you EV enough compared with the effort you are putting in.

Trying to 24 table on the microstakes tables just for this promo is really a waste. The prizes are significantly smaller at the microstakes tables anyway and your chances of winning are not increased enough to make it worth it.

Just play regularly and have fun seeing if it lands on one of your tables. There are a few thousand tables going on at the cash games and the chances of it being one of your cash-game tables, even if you are on 24 of them, is really small.

They just hit 30 million hands in about 18 hours from when they started 24.850B which means the remaining 120 million should take another 72 hours from right now (meaning Sunday night) at that rate, if my calculations are correct. Of course the rate is likely to accelerate from here.

I prefer raising a normal amount, if someone at your table is not paying attention, a shove and 2 calls might wake them up.

This does sound optimal for the 25 Billionth hand itself.

For the 25 Billionth hand itself it's probably EV to crank it up on a bunch of tables but auto-folding as much as you can I still don't think is worthwhile particularly when the rest of the table isn't doing it with you.

Moving down stakes to do it if that's necessary for you might be okay though if I understand the promo correctly ($100k to the winner regardless of the stakes).

Just play your normal poker, whatever that is, and buy a lotto ticket or pull a progressive slot if you want a quick thrill and a shot at a big payoff.

Altering your best strategy for playing poker in order to increase your chances of hitting a longshot prize seems pretty foolhardy.

Don't feel like looking through the whole thread to see if anyone has posted this already but it looks like they had a policy change on the deposit increase thing and now prefer people do it in 2 separate deposits:

Quote:
Hello Bob,

Thank you for your email.

As a way to alleviate the pressure on our security department for
granting deposit limit increase requests we can offer the opportunity
to apply the bonus for two separate deposits.

Thus, when you have made your second deposit, please respond to this
email and we will manually apply your bonus to the full amount of your
two deposits.

The reason for this is that the daily limit for eCheck is $600 on its
basic level, and the weekly is $1000. Thus if you make a deposit today,
you can make a deposit for the remainder of the amount tomorrow.

If you despite of this want a deposit limit increase, please let us
know and we will look into it. Please note that for this to be
possible we need to wait for your most recent deposit to clear. To
view the status of when your eCheck deposits will be clear on our
system, just click on the 'Uncleared Deposits' link that will be shown
in the PokerStars Cashier after you make any eCheck deposits. Also
know that granting your deposit increase request might take a couple
of days due to the large amount of requests we are currently receiving.

Please remember to respond to this email when you have made your second
deposit, so that we can manually apply your 25% up to $250 bonus for
our 25'th Billion Hand Promotion.

Good luck at the tables!

Whatever. Some people enjoy this type of thing. For 20 minutes as the 25B hand gets near, it might be a fun diversion.

Lol the milestone hand I just watched was pretty funny. While the hand was paused with the observer chat going crazy just before the admin showed up two people at the table left. Means they don't even get the $150 for being dealt into the hand lol.
