Which is why these meetings are pointless and have been for two years now. The wheels on the bus go round and round

You and all other 2p2ers are missing the main aspect of the meetings.
What you are expecting? You are going to show up and PS is going to make all the changes you are proposing? Obv this is not going to happen.
What was happening is that, PS gather insights from the players and thought about how these ideas fits his business.
Clearly they don't think they are valuable from a business view.
This doesn't mean meetings are useless, means that players need other ideas thay PS is going to like.
For example I think we should think about different types of promos, different ways to attract and mantain players etc.

This will probably be the last meeting anyway with Amaya cutting costs all over the place so don't sweat it too much. Gl to GGARJ and let's hope for a productive discussion.

Yeah, the trip reports are great, aren't they? You can tell all the reps put a lot of thought and effort and time into trying to make sure we were all able to get a sense of what the meetings were like - lots of great details, so thanks so much to all the reps over the years, for taking the time out to go on the trip to represent us all, and for putting all that effort into putting together the reports.

I just put together the list, but yw

Back on Finnish soil, folks!

Gonna start typing my report on Monday, will set myself a deadline of having it reviewed by Stars and posted here by the end of next week.

GGRJ, we'll wait for your report, however may I ask youa very very quick impression you had on the meeting?

I felt pretty positive for the most part, if that's what you're asking. Having been there earlier clearly helped with the preparation and "picking my fights", so to speak.

Stay patient, y'all, these will lead to follow-ups upon follow-ups upon follow-ups, much easier to ask questions too after reading the report.

Update:

Looks like I won't be making the self-imposed deadline. Sent the report for review on Friday at 3am CET, no reply yet. Steve prob didn't have time to go through it on Friday, so I assume he'll do it on Monday.

Steve is still giving me the silent treatment :/

My draft was a bit more "daring" this time around, but I think it's more a case of running it by Amaya. Pure speculation obv, Steve hasn't given any reason for the delay.

And we should not completely eliminate the possibility that the employees there are almost as surprised and off-balance by recent events as we are. That would make them less likely to tell you, "sure, post your report".

There is continuing evidence of stratified corporate paralysis there. Indications that the new owners are making decisions independently of the managers, and the managers are reluctant to ask them for clarification and specific guidance, for fear of being labeled "out of the loop", unnecessary, or redundant.

They still have not updated the Real Money Deposit Options for Your Country drop down menu at http://www.pokerstars.com/poker/real-money/ to remove the countries that are no longer allowed to play for real money. They still have not updated section 5.1 (the prohibited jurisdictions) to add all the new countries to the terms of service at http://www.pokerstars.com/poker/room/tos/
This is very un-PokerStars-like. They were previously known for very deliberate and excruciating double and triple checking things before implementing them. They have now become practitioners of "fire, ready, aim". I imagine the employees keeping a very low profile.

Just looked at that link and the drop down menu for countries, they still offer games in Antarctica, nice to know penguins are still in the game.

That menu puts places on the map I didn't even know existed. Sandwich Islands, Christmas Island, FYROM, (u wot m8) Sint Maarten (lol engrish)

In fact I think Stars just made these places up.

Never met Isai unfortunately. Staff I met now was mostly the same as in May, noone from Amaya.

I wrote a few sentences about Amaya's role in the company, I'll let y'all read it before discussing it - unless I need to drop that part, obv

- Sandwich Islands was the name given to the Hawaiian Islands by James Cook in 1778.

- The Territory of Christmas Island is a territory of Australia in the Indian Ocean

Wrong, the territory of Christmas Island is territory of Santa.

Don't believe everything you read on google.

Also interested to know how far Amaya's reach is on things. Or maybe that's stupid because they'll eventually influence everything if they haven't already. I hope if the faithful staff of Stars see Amaya screwing things up they'll actually stand up and say something.

Battle of the Planets
The week ending Saturday, November 1st will be the final week of the Battle of the Planets promotion. Prizes will be paid out this week as per normal.

Rake Changes Effective November 3, 2014
Rake will increase for all stakes of heads-up hyper turbo Sit & Go tournaments.

Tournament fees for all forms of knockout tournaments, including both scheduled and Sit & Go tournaments, will now be equivalent to tournament fees charged for similar non-knockout tournaments. This is a change for all forms of knockout tournaments except for progressive super knockout tournaments for which tournament fees will not change.

Hyper-turbo scheduled tournament fees will increase from 2% to approximately half of the fees charged for other scheduled tournaments at same or similar buy-in levels.

The cap for ring game rake for hands dealt at PL/NL games to exactly two players will increase to $2 for stakes $25/$50 and higher and $1 for all other stakes.

The cap for ring game rake for PL/NL games at $25/$50 and higher stakes with 5+ players dealt in will increase from $3 to $5.

Spin & Go rake will be increased at stakes $3 and above. Details are in the table at the end of the post. Note that the ‘Rake’ row in the table refers to the % of prize pool withheld for rake, as is consistent with our current communication on our website and communication of pricing by competitors about similar products.

Rakes Changes Effective January 1, 2015
Hyper-turbo satellite Sit & Go fees will be increased at stakes below $2,000 from 2% to an amount equivalent to roughly 75% of the fees charged for cash prize hyper-turbo Sit & Go tournaments of the same buy-in. A table at the end of this post includes sample fees for a wide range of buy-ins.

New tournament fees will apply in rebuy tournaments for players whose play is subject to significant local taxes in the form of gaming duty and/or VAT. For such players, tournament fees equivalent to those charged for initial buy-ins will be charged for rebuys and add-ons. We will soon provide a full list of sites/countries affected on January 1, but as examples, PokerStars.be, PokerStars.dk, PokerStars.uk, and PokerStars.bg will qualify due to gaming duty and players from Germany will qualify due to VAT.

Spin & Go Prize Changes Effective November 3, 2014
Spin & Go prize distribution will change to offer top prizes of 3000x the buy-in at each pool, increased from 1000x. Full details of the new distributions are available in the table at the bottom of this post.

Details and Examples of Changes

Sit & Go

Spin & Go

Scheduled MTT

The above are examples; similar changes will apply at all stakes.
