he was making a joke...which is pretty inappropriate considering the OP would not have a chance of understanding that.

So, I have been convinced. I am not longer going to play on AP. Honestly, I liked the site and was pretty naive to most of the problems they've had. I thought they were coming around after the super-user scandal, but the recent news has put a serious knot in my thinking.

So what now? I have a tilt account, but it is blocked till june because I swore off poker until I had the time to study and learn the game instead of just learning on the fly with out a BR management. Poker Stars is also a no go because of a dispute I have with them regarding a bounced check (another whole issue), plus I like having rakeback. Most importantly, I am american, so there are not a ton of options.

I am considering Doyle's room, the 33% rakeback is nice, plus the $600 deposit bonus. I have searched the forum for reviews on Doyle's room and have found little.

Suggestions? Comments on Doyle's room would be appreciated

Yeah, I know that it is a skin, I guess i don't understand what that means. Wouldn't the same problems doyle's room has be the same on cake?

Thanks, I have been using the search function, but the feedback hasn't really been all that helpful (300 pages is hard to navigate effectively). I do not like the idea that there are no huds, but I could probably adjust.

If u want to play in Euro I recommend Unibet or Ladbrokes, they are on the same network (Prima) and have some great rakeback formulas, 40% on Unibet.

Hi,

I've played on AP for 4 years now and am absolutely fed up with the site. They have 22,000 players at most during peak.

I'm going to deposit a nice chunk of money into either PS or FTP. I know both are upgrades from AP. But I'm just torn between which site to go with. I am mainly a cash game player.

Any advice?

I personally prefer FT because of rakeback, which ps does not offer. However, if you play a large volume of hands, or higher stakes then its been suggested that PS vip rewards program is better than rb.

Just my .02

Hi,

I started playing poker about 2 years ago after a trip to Vagas. I joined PKR and have never used another site. I worked my way up for NL4 to NL200 and think I need to test the waters elsewhere. Multi tabling is a pain on PKR.

I use Hold'em Manager so I would want to use a site that was compatible with that.

It seems to be a bit of a minefield with all the bonuses and rake back offers out there. When I joined PKR I knew nothing about it so I just signed up with out claiming anything. I have earned some bonuses with them now but don't want to make that mistake again.

I'm looking for some site recommendations and sites to avoid, I'm from the UK so non US sites are available to me.

Is it better to use a rake back site or apply directly to the site for rake back once you've proved to be high rake payer?

Basically any advice on what's out there and the best way to go about joining up would be most welcome, if any of you have the time.

Cheers

You will find sites where multi-tabling is easier to be tougher to play at for obvious reasons - isn't about 4 tables as much as you can do on PKR? You might need to drop down to $100 NL to start...

Obviously safe UK player sites are those like Ladbrokes (on Microgaming - which is very risky on other skins btw), Will Hill and BetFred (on Ipoker) and Betfair. They peak at Euro peak hours and are pretty soft (though not quite a soft as PKR probably). Certainly 8 tabling is possible on them...

I would check out RTR or another respected RB affiliate and see what's on offer RB/rake race/bonus wise...

Party is another option though I'm not sure what their bonuses/RB/VIP system are like these days

Beyond that you move to the massive multi-tabling US centred sites like Stars and Full Tilt. These have the most players but also the most pros/best players on average (thanks to UIGEA removing a lot of the US casual players and those sites allowing/encouraging 16/24 tabling respectively).

There are also other networks like B2B (can't remember what it's called now - full of mad scandies playing 6 max as I recall) and Ongame. And Everest is a fairly big stand alone room.

And Cereus is the rebranded Absolute/Ultimate Bet (post superuser scandal).

Cheers,

Yep 4 tables is the max at PKR. However I'm not that keen to play more than four tables, it's more that on PKR you can only see one at a time. Having to switch back and forth saps your concentration and you miss the action on the tables you're not playing a hand on.

I might end up back at PKR it has a lot of good points and it's due a big release that might solve this, however I have nothing to compare it with at the moment. I think it would be good for me to see what else is out there.

Thanks again

If you want to improve your game go to fulltilt via raketherake. And this is the best software imo

If you want just another soft room, go to partypoker. They don't have external RB but a lot of bonus and you can exchange your points to get cash like pokerstars.

I am on FT and Stars but don't get any rakeback as I signed up prior to having a clue. I was wondering what you think is the next best site to play, especially for sng's and mtt's? Or just best overall run site, most professional etc.

It's on your own preference tbh after stars and ft. Try cake or maybe even UB if you want and there's more options if your not American.

Then email a request for rakeback.

If it isn't ftp or stars, it comes down to trust which I would never put into any smaller site after reading through people's issues on this site.
