I knew it was a thread saver. Just wondering who those guys actually are.

jrz - Anyone with a clue understand that all the sites are legit as far as the card-dealing and stuff like that are concerned. There are plenty of paranoid out there who think it's rigged in any variety of ways but most smart people think they are just silly, paranoid and also unknowingly making justification for their inability to win.

As far as "reputable" sites: There are some places where I feel a bit more comfortable with my money than others. I'm 100% comfortable with my cash not being taken from me on PokerStars. I'm mostly comfortable on Full Tilt although they have had some issues with other players and I'm not 100% confident in them. Don't know as much about Cake Poker but they seem to be stand-up people from what I gather and I don't remember reading if a high amount of problems there.

Other sites have varying degrees of security. However, even if you chose a sketchy site you are still probably close to 99% safe with your money on there. It's not something to be overly concerned about. Just have an awareness that sometimes some goofy things do end up happening. Thankfully, it's fairly rare compared with the zillions of people conducting online money transactions back and forth and playing all those cash-games and tournaments every day.

so for the last year or so ive been playing on Absolute Poker and ive decided i want to switch sites. partly because of the BBJ which cuts down on my winrate, the **** customer support and also because i dont really want to support a cheating site.

i am european so i can play anywhere, would rather not play with the nitboxes on stars and dont have rakeback on full tilt

what i need to have in a new site is basically this

*enough traffic to multitable about 9 tables of 100NL at all times
*ability to use a HUD
*rakeback

another question i have is if i play on a network like ongame is it just a lot of "front sites" with one big player pool? so for example people on bwin.com are playing against people on hollywoodpoker.com?

I'd suggest checking out pokerscout.com for traffic figures, and bonuswhores.com for information on bonus clearing. Don't get too hung up on RB - some sites have other VIP or bonus schemes that works as well as rakeback. Try doing some kickback bonuses on a few different networks and see what you like. If you're not familiar with kickback bonuses, search the term in the Internet Bonuses forum.

Once you've found a few networks that fit your criteria, you could post in the appropriate threads in the Affiliates/Rakeback forum and see what offers you get.

So, due to the change in table limits on Pstars, I'm cashing in.

My question is, with the indictments on Full Tilt principals, and the arrest of the Australian guy in Vegas that was running the intermediary between the poker sites and banks under the UIGEA law, what would be the recommendation for a poker site that is relatively stable moving forward, and a deposit method that won't require me to receive a check, but rather a more speedy return of any funds, should I be fortunate enough to have benefitted from your recommendation of the first.

I know that knee jerk would have been Full Tilt for cash games, and Netteller is still an option for me in my country, but the more you read..............

what is that Aussie guys name? I know lots of ppl actually running the intermediary to help ppl deposit onto the site but I personal think thats pretty risk to rely on this to deposit
